Gerald Charles Unveils Its Most Complex Timepiece, The Masterlink Perpetual Calendar

Gerald Charles, the independent Swiss watchmaking Maison founded by the great Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, unveils its most complicated watch since its reestablishment less than a decade ago. The Masterlink Perpetual Calendar, developed entirely in-house, marks a new chapter for the young and ambitious Maison as it continues to expand its repertoire of poetic complications.

In keeping with Gerald Charles’s “No Compromise” watchmaking philosophy, established by Mr. Genta more than a quarter of a century ago, the Masterlink Perpetual Calendar introduces an in-house, asymmetrical, automatic perpetual calendar calibre with a three-counter display.

On the occasion of Dubai Watch Week 2023, Tag Heuer unveils a Special Edition for the city of Dubai: the Carrera Tourbillon H02T Dubai Skyline. It features a black titanium case with a carbon bezel and touches of blue on the indices and sub-dials. The case back features printed motifs of Dubai's logo and its most famous towers. This exceptional timepiece is a harmonious blend of technology, craftsmanship, and a distinctive aesthetic that pays homage to the city of architectural wonders.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon H02T Dubai Skyline boasts a 45mm diameter brushed black PVD-coated titanium case surrounded by a fixed carbon fiber tachymeter bezel with the U.A.E. insignia. Protecting the dial is a domed beveled sapphire crystal, while a blue sapphire crystal case back offers a glimpse into the watch's intricate movement, and printed motifs of Dubai's logo and its most famous towers. The watch features a black PVD-coated titanium pull-out crown with crown guards, and chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock.

The anthracite dial of the watch features a black flange with a 60-second/minute scale, while two counters grace the dial: a blue minute chronograph subdial at 3 o'clock, along with a blue hour chronograph counter at 9 o'clock all with rhodium-plated hands, and a tourbillon positioned at 6 o'clock. The dial also features blue applied indexes adorned with white Super-LumiNova ensure legibility, complemented by rhodium-plated polished hour and minute hands, also with white Super-LumiNova, and a rhodium-plated chronograph central hand.

Powering the timepiece is the Calibre Heuer 02T, an automatic chronograph that has been chronometer certified by COSC. With a frequency of 28,800vph, and a 65-hour power reserve, this movement is a testament to TAG Heuer's commitment to precision and performance. The watch is paired with a matte black alligator leather strap, providing both comfort and style. The black PVD carbon titanium grade 2 folding clasp features double safety push-buttons and displays the TAG Heuer shield.

The TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon H02T Dubai Skyline is limited to 12 pieces, with a price of AED 83,600.
