A new timepiece in bronze with a chocolate fumé dial
In 2016, Maurice Lacroix introduced the Aikon, a reinterpretation of the Calypso, a top-selling model from the 1990s. The Aikon has a classic sports watch design and is aimed at the affordable sports watch category. The brand is renowned for its use of bronze in its timepieces, treating the material with due respect and revitalizing bronze watches in a way that feels contemporary.
The brand's use of bronze dates back to 2017, when the brand released the Aikon Automatic Bronze watch. This year, the brand is launching a new release of the Aikon Automatic Bronze, featuring a stunning chocolate fumé gradient dial.
The watch comes in a 42mm brushed bronze case, with sandblasted bezel claws that subtly enhance its depth and character. With a case thickness of 11mm, it maintains a refined presence on the wrist. The open stainless steel case back offers a captivating glimpse into the watch's mechanics. The Aikon Automatic Bronze is prepared for any adventure, as it boasts 200 meters of water resistance.

The Aikon Automatic Bronze features a gradient smoked chocolate dial with a Clous de Paris texture and a 4N gold PVD Maurice Lacroix logo at the 12 o'clock position. The dial also includes a date window at 3 o'clock, faceted hands and indexes in 4N gold. The addition of white Super-LumiNova inserts on the indices and hands ensures clear readability at a glance, even in low-light conditions.
Maurice Lacroix worked with Sellita to create the exclusive Automatic ML135 caliber, based on the Sellita SW200. The movement, featuring rhodium-plated components, showcases exceptional snailing and perlage circular graining finishes. The rotor, visible through the open caseback, is embellished with the Maurice Lacroix logo. The movement operates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and has a 38-hour power reserve.
The watch comes with an integrated brown leather strap adorned with the iconic ‘M’ emblem in 4N gold. The strap has light gray stitching and incorporates the proprietary EasyStrap system. The watch is limited to 888 pieces and priced at CHF 2,400, which is equivalent to AED 9,700.
