The New limited Edition Hastroid Enters a New Phase With its Bold Hue
HYT is a renowned Swiss watch brand that gained recognition for being the first watch brand to use fluidic technology in timekeeping. At the core of HYT's innovation lies a patented system known as "microfluidic", that redefines how time is displayed.
The use of fluids instead of traditional hands or digital displays gives HYT watches a distinctive and futuristic appearance. Central to this approach are bellows, containing a vividly colored fluid. These bellows compress the movement of these contrasting fluids through a precisely engineered capillary tube that serves as a fluidic representation of hours and minutes as the two fluids converge and diverge in their journey.
The brand offers various models of the HASTROID watch, each boasting its own distinctive features and design. Some notable models include the "Hastroid Green Nebula," "Hastroid Green Laser," and "Hastroid Blue Star", with almost identical specifications, however they stand out with their unique and distinct color schemes.
This year, HYT reveals the limited edition HASTROID Silver Red, a new addition that accentuates the contemporary character of the collection. The watch comes in a Black coated brushed titanium case that measures 48 mm in diameter and has a thickness of 13.3 mm, topped by a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, and a titanium crown coated with black, and a silver side grids with red background.
The openworked dial showcases a large central hand, coated in a vibrant red hue that ensures an instant and precise indication of the minutes. The unique luminescence of the red liquid employed ensures that the retrograde hours are prominently displayed and remain easily readable, whether it's daytime or nighttime. Surrounding the chapter ring are hour markers crafted from blocks of Super-LumiNova. Adding to its functionality, the dial incorporates two sub-counters, the first one is positioned between 9 and 10 o’clock providing a small seconds function and a power reserve indicator as the second sub counter positioned between 2 and 3 o’clock.
Since the dial is openworked, one will notice the black coated brass disk under the intricate components of the hand-wound mechanical movement that was crafted by Eric Coudray exclusively for the HASTROID collection; the caliber's unique visual appeal is enhanced through satin brushing, operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers 72 hours of power reserve.
