A beautiful timepiece born from the collaboration between the brand & Alpine F1 team
The Streamliner collection has gained popularity among enthusiasts of H. Moser & Cie for its distinctively stylish take on the integrated luxury sports watch genre since 2020. While already featuring captivating variants with diverse dials, the addition of a tourbillon imbued the watch with an entirely fresh allure.
At Watch And Wonders 2024, H. Moser & Cie surprised us with a stunningly skeletonized tourbillon timepiece, a first in the Streamliner collection. Today, the brand commemorates its recent collaboration with Alpine Motorsports, by unveiling the Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition, a beautiful skeletonized watch infused with the spirit of motorsport.
For those unacquainted, the bond between watches and motorsport has endured for decades, notably within Formula 1, where nearly every team has forged partnerships with esteemed watchmakers. With the 2024 Formula 1 season already underway, H. Moser & Cie. announced its role as the official Timekeeping Partner for the French automotive Alpine Motorsports earlier this year, marking the beginning of a new chapter in its legacy.
The latest timepiece isn't merely the second skeletonized version of the Streamliner; it showcases the brand's distinctive cylindrical tourbillon. The watch comes in the collection's iconic cushion-shaped case, crafted from stainless steel with a diameter of 42.3mm and a thickness of 14mm. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal. The case is brushed and polished, and features a sapphire crystal caseback that allows us a glimpse of the movement.
The openworked dial reveals exquisite bridges and a small sub-dial at 12 o'clock, adorned with a small translucent domed dial indicating the hours and minutes. This design follows the curvature of the sapphire crystal and features Alpine Motorsports’ and the brand's signature blue color. Additionally, the one-minute flying tourbillon, positioned at 6 o’clock, showcases a cylindrical hairspring.
The watch is powered by the HMC 811 manufacture caliber, an automatic movement with a bidirectional skeletonized gold rotor, beating at 21,600vph (3Hz), and offering 74 hours of power reserve. The watch is paired with a blue rubber strap, and has a stainless steel folding clasp. The new Streamliner Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Alpine Limited Edition is limited to 100 pieces, and priced at CHF 89,000 which is equivalent to AED 360,000.
