Limited Edition Collaboration with Topper Jewelers Inspired by Sharks
Doxa is a name that resonates with watch enthusiasts and divers alike. Doxa has become synonymous with high-quality diving watches. Established in 1889, the Swiss brand has built a reputation for craftsmanship, but it was in 1967 that Doxa truly made an impact in the world of diving with the introduction of its iconic Sub 300. This model was one of the first to be specifically designed for professional divers, featuring impressive water resistance. Today, Doxa continues to build on this legacy, offering a new watch that maintains the brand’s focus on diving excellence and timeless design, "Sub 300 Great White Topper Edition" watch. The new "Sub 300 Great White Topper Edition" from Doxa draws inspiration from the White Shark. Released in collaboration with the American brand “Topper Fine Jewelers", this limited-edition model pays tribute to both the world of professional diving and the ocean’s most formidable predator.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Sub 300 Great White Topper Edition will be donated to the Greater Farallones Association, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting the nearby marine sanctuary. This partnership underscores Doxa's commitment to ocean conservation, ensuring that part of the watch’s legacy contributes to the protection of the ecosystems that inspire its designs.
The watch comes with a 42.5mm, crafted from 316L stainless steel, With a thickness of 13.4mm. Its domed sapphire crystal offers clarity and scratch resistance, while the unidirectional rotating bezel ensures precise tracking of dive time. Water-resistant to an impressive 300 meters, the watch is equipped with a screw-down crown and a screw-in case back, which showcases a detailed engraving of the surrounding waters and islands.
The dial pays tribute to the deep waters of the Pacific Ocean and its apex predators. Its white and blue design evokes the deep blue of the ocean and the striking white of a great white shark, creating a bold, high-contrast aesthetic. The dial is fully luminescent, featuring Super-LumiNova BGW9 with an attractive blue glow, allowing it to shine brightly in low-light conditions, a first for a fully luminescent Doxa SUB. The sword-shaped hour and minute hands are coated with blue Super-LumiNova, complementing the minute track printed between the hour markers. Meanwhile, the Super LumiNova coated seconds hand adds a dynamic touch with its square tip.
The watch is powered by the COSC-certified Sellita SW200 movement, a Swiss-made automatic caliber. With a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4.0 Hz), it ensures accurate timekeeping while offering a 38-hour power reserve. The movement also features manual winding and hacking seconds, providing added control for the wearer.
It comes with a stainless steel bracelet with a folding clasp, as well as a blue rubber strap with a stainless steel folding clasp. This watch is a limited edition of 100 pieces, priced at approximately USD 2,995, which is approximately equivalent to AED 11,000.
