Handcrafted anthracite Dial That Embodies German Watchmaking Professionalism
German brand Moritz Grossmann is known for its classic designs. Founded in 2008, the company has successfully revived the tradition of German watchmaking with a modern twist. The brand has launched several collections, including the Tefnut. One of its most notable releases is the “Tefnut Silver Plated by Friction” watch, which was offered in various case materials. Now, the brand is launching a new edition of the Benu collection: the “37 Arabic Vintage Watch.”
The case of this new watch comes in a sleek brushed stainless steel design, featuring a diameter of 37 mm and a height of 9.2 mm. Its satin-finished surface enhances its elegant appearance, while the three-part construction ensures durability. Both the front and back are protected by sapphire crystals, and the brand’s classic conical crown adds a refined touch to the overall design.
The dial of the 37 Arabic Vintage features a grey (anthracite) color, crafted from untreated German silver and showcasing a velvety matte finish that shimmers with varying shades of grey. The dial serves as an elegant backdrop, displaying applied numerals and a train track running along the rim for easy reading of the minutes, along with the Grossmann logo, which enhances its prominence. The polished steel hands, expertly handcrafted, with a small seconds display at 6 o’clock in a subdial that echoes the shape of the main dial with its train track, inviting admiration for its meticulous artistry.
