Introducing Montblanc Unveils the Bohème Perpetual Calendar 36mm

Montblanc was founded in 1906 and has gradually evolved into a full-fledged maison offering fine leather goods, accessories, and Swiss timepieces. One of the brand’s most notable contributions to women’s watchmaking is the Bohème collection, launched in 2014 to present elegant mechanical complications tailored to feminine proportions and tastes. This year, Montblanc enriches the collection with the new Bohème Perpetual Calendar 36mm.

The latest release is available in two versions, polished 18k rose gold or a two-tone combination of rose gold and stainless steel. The case measures 36mm in diameter and 10mm in thickness, featuring a rose gold bezel adorned with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds that can be used as minute markers. On the reverse, a sapphire crystal pane is integrated into the caseback, offering a glimpse of the movement, while the case maintains a water resistance of 30 meters.

At the center of the dial, a field of micro-diamonds is laid flat and finished with a shimmering metallic grey PVD coating, reminiscent of a starlit sky. Surrounding this is a silvery-white outer chapter ring stamped with a “trail of stars” motif, an astrophotography-inspired pattern that evokes the Earth’s rotation captured in long exposure. Time is indicated by rose gold-coated leaf hands and applied Arabic numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12 o’clock, with trapezoidal indices marking the remaining hours. The perpetual calendar layout includes four sub-dials: a day counter at 9 o’clock, date at 3, month and leap year indicator at 12, and a moon phase display at 6 o’clock.

Powering the watch is Montblanc’s automatic calibre MB 29.15, built on a Sellita SW300-1 base with a Dubois-Dépraz perpetual calendar module. Beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), it delivers a 42-hour power reserve and requires no manual correction until March 2100. Adjustments are made via discreet correctors positioned along the side of the case.

Each watch is delivered with three interchangeable calfskin straps: a beige alligator-print strap, a classic black option, and a burgundy alligator-print strap. The two-tone version is paired with a steel pin buckle, while the full rose gold model comes with a matching rose gold buckle.

Joining Montblanc’s permanent collection, the Bohème Perpetual Calendar is priced at USD 23,500 (approximately AED 86,350) for the two-tone model and USD 30,000 (approximately AED 110,200) for the rose gold version.
