A bold evolution of a 1970s icon with a titanium case
Within its extensive portfolio, the Multifort collection stands as one of Mido’s most enduring pillars. First introduced in 1934, the line later adopted a distinctive TV-shaped case inspired by 1970s television, which made its return in 2023. Now, that bold silhouette evolves further with the launch of the Multifort TV Big Date Titanium, a model that brings vintage charm into a high-tech, contemporary form.
Forged entirely in titanium, the case measures 39.2mm in diameter, 11.5mm in thickness, and 46.85mm lug-to-lug. The metal’s inherent lightness and strength make it ideal for a sporty yet elegant watch, while its monochrome hue enhances the refined aesthetic. The surface alternates between brushed and polished finishes that play beautifully with light. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating protects the dial, while the sand-blasted marker at 12 o’clock adds a distinctive touch to the polished bezel. The watch features a screw-down crown with guards and a screwed caseback, offering water resistance up to 100 meters.
The grey gradient dial is finished with horizontal brushed grooves that reinforce the TV-inspired shape. Hour markers filled with white Super-LumiNova ensure excellent legibility, while the black nickel-plated, diamond-cut, and faceted hands also feature luminous coating for visibility in low light. At 12 o’clock sits the large date display.
Powering the watch is the Mido Caliber 80, based on the ETA C07.651 architecture. This automatic movement beats at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 80 hours. It features a Nivachron balance spring, ensuring enhanced resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations.

The integrated titanium bracelet mirrors the case’s dual-finish treatment, combining brushed surfaces with polished central links. It closes with a folding clasp operated by push-buttons and includes quick-release bars for easy strap changes.

The watch joins Mido’s permanent collection and is priced at CHF 1,290, approximately AED 6,000.
