A new chapter for the Multifort collection, shaped by simplicity
Mido introduced the Multifort collection in the 1930s, which became known for combining automatic movements with water resistance, shock protection, and anti-magnetic qualities at a time when such features were far from common. Over the decades, the Multifort name evolved into a broad family of watches, ranging from sporty chronographs to contemporary everyday models.

Today, the brand releases the new Multifort 8 One Crown, entering a chapter that began with the bold dual-crown version that was released last year. The latest model simplifies the concept without abandoning the geometric language that defines the series. It is intended as a watch for daily use, combining the visual presence of an integrated-bracelet design with the practicality expected from the brand.

The case measures 40 mm in diameter and is crafted from brushed and polished 316L stainless steel. Its three-part construction is framed by an octagonal faceted bezel, while the screw-down crown at 3 o’clock follows the same geometric theme. A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the dial, and the screw-down exhibition caseback echoes the eight-sided outline of the bezel while revealing the movement. Water resistance is rated at 100 meters.
The dial is presented in a blue hue decorated with horizontal lines, with additional versions available in black. Satin-finished hour and minute hands are coated with white Super-LumiNova, accompanied by a diamond-cut seconds hand. The applied indices also contain luminous material, and a date window appears at 3 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the automatic Mido Caliber 80, based on the ETA C07.611. The movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offers a power reserve of up to 80 hours. It is equipped with a Nivachron balance spring for improved resistance to magnetic fields and everyday shocks. Finishing is visible through the caseback, including a rotor decorated with Côtes de Genève and engraved with the brand signature.

The watch is fitted with an integrated brushed stainless steel bracelet secured by a two-button folding clasp and equipped with a quick-change system. A black rubber strap is offered as an alternative. The model joins the permanent collection at a price of CHF 840, approximately AED 3,900.
