A Striking Design Combining Chronograph Precision and GMT Functionality
At Geneva Watch Days 2024, we featured a Norwegian brand Micromilspec known for creating timepieces specifically designed for military units and special operations forces (SOF). Among its standout models was the Milgraph, distinguished by its reversed design with the crown and pushers positioned on the left side. This high-performance edition marked a significant success for the rising brand. Building on that momentum, the company now introduces a new White Edition, joining the original black model while retaining the same design language and robust case. The result is the striking new Milgraph White Edition.
The watch comes with a 42mm diameter, 15mm thick Grade 5 titanium case, featuring a micro-blasted finish (sandblast on a micro level). The left-hand chronograph features a swapped crown position, enhancing comfort and minimizing wrist strain during physical activities.
The watch includes a 120-click bezel with four deep indents for easy operation, even when wearing gloves. It also boasts a screw-in crown that ensures water resistance up to 100 meters, along with a chamfered crown guard for added comfort. The octagonal design and anti-reflective coated sapphire crystal on the dial give it a sleek appearance.
The dial features a white matte finish with a grainy texture and subtle velvet details. It includes three sub-dials, each clearly labeled for chronograph hours at 12 o'clock, chronograph minutes at 6 o'clock, and small seconds at 3 o'clock.
The applied indices and hands are treated with Super-LumiNova X1 for superior legibility in low light conditions. Additionally, a 24-hour GMT function is indicated by an orange-tipped hand, pointing to a black ring with white GMT time markings and numerals, providing a clear and functional reference for tracking two time zones simultaneously.
The watch is powered by the La Joux-Perret, caliber L121 movement. This automatic chronograph movement features a column wheel, ensuring enhanced precision during operation. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and a 60-hour power reserve. Additionally, the movement rate is accurate, with an accuracy at ± 4 seconds per day, making it a highly reliable timekeeping mechanism.
It comes with three different strap options, a white rubber strap, a leather strap, or a titanium bracelet with a butterfly clasp. This watch has a limited edition of 75 pieces, priced at USD 3,850 which is equivalent approximately to AED 14,140.
