Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
The brand’s iconic design in a black guise, celebrating its 25th anniversary
MeisterSinger has remained true to its distinctive design language for years. Now, with the introduction of the new Archao, the collection welcomes another strikingly characterful addition in this anniversary year. The bold, appliquéd hour markers echo the divided single hand, reinforcing the brand’s signature aesthetic. Both the prominent hour markers and the distinctive needle-shaped hand are crafted from white LumiBlocks, which absorb light during the day like a battery and release a long-lasting glow after dark. The result is a picture-perfect timepiece, by day and by night.
The name Archao is derived from the Greek word archaios, meaning “primal” or “original” — a fitting reference to the watch’s elemental and powerful character.
Housed in an imposing 43mm case, the large cylindrical profile is finished with an elegant matte black coating. The diamond-like carbon DLC treatment enhances durability, making the watch particularly hard-wearing and rugged. Measuring 12.3mm in thickness and offering 50 meters of water resistance, the case is completed by a screwed-down caseback featuring a transparent Archao inscription set against a volcano-inspired background.
The finely grained texture of the dark dials, available in black, red, or blue, creates a striking contrast with the bold graphic elements. Generously proportioned half-hour and quarter-hour markers appear in crisp white, as do the numerals and hour indices, while the five-minute markings are rendered in light grey, intentionally fading into the background. The dial also features MeisterSinger’s signature peripheral track, with white markers indicating 15-minute intervals and light grey dots denoting five-minute increments. White LumiBlock material ensures optimal legibility in low-light conditions.
The completely redesigned single hand is conceived as a formally “divided” element: the triangular tip at the front extends into an elongated counterbalance at the back, interrupted only at the center. Its distinctive width is hollowed from within — a subtle yet clearly defined detail that lends the Archao additional depth and significantly enhances its presence in the dark.
Powering the MeisterSinger Archao Editions is the reliable Sellita SW330 automatic movement, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and delivering a 42-hour power reserve. The watch is paired with a robust saddle leather strap featuring exclusive contrasting white stitching, perfectly complementing the dial and emphasizing the assertive design of the timepiece.
