Introducing The New Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
What initially began as an experimental token of gratitude towards clients and suppliers, has evolved into a horological icon
MB&F, which stands for Maximilian Büsser and Friends, is a Swiss luxury watch manufacturer founded by Maximilian Büsser in July 2005 in Geneva, Switzerland. This brand is renowned for its innovative and artistic approach to watchmaking, specializing in producing small series of concept-type watches.
The MB&F team has just unveiled the M.A.D.1 GREEN, the third edition of the M.A.D.1 wristwatch, which made its debut in June 2021 under the M.A.D.Editions label. This release marks the progression of a collection that originated as a tentative acknowledgment to clients and suppliers and has subsequently established itself as a notable horological presence within MB&F’s portfolio.
The M.A.D.Editions project was born out of the frustration that not everyone could afford MB&F's high-end timepieces. It was conceived as a side project to express gratitude to those who played a significant role in the brand's success.
As it was mentioned in the press release, “The M.A.D.1 was never “launched”. In June 2021, without any forewarning, it was simply presented in a short email, accompanied by a few photos, to MB&F’s suppliers and collectors”.
So basically, The M.A.D.1 BLUE, the first edition of these watches, was not launched with much fanfare. Instead, it was quietly presented to MB&F's network of suppliers, referred to as "Friends," and the registered members of "The Tribe," the MB&F owners' club. The watch's price of CHF 1,900 + tax, which is equivalent to AED 7,800, an affordable price compared to MB&F's usual offerings, a reflection of its origins as a “thank-you” gesture.
During 2022, the M.A.D.1 RED was introduced, featuring a cherry red design and an accessible price of CHF 2,900 + tax which is equivalent to AED 12,000. It won the Prize of the year’s best watch priced under CHF 3,500 at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. In recent news, MB&F decided to discontinue the production of the M.A.D.1 RED. However, they have introduced the M.A.D.1 GREEN in a vivid green color, offering fans and collectors another opportunity to own a timepiece from this collection, with a price equivalent to the M.A.D.1 RED.

The green cylinder at the top indicates the hours, while the black cylinder at the bottom showcases the minutes, with a pointer positioned between the lugs.
