Introducing The New Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition with a fully engraved case and a dial inspired by Wotto’s artwork
Maurice Lacroix introduces the AIKON Automatic Wotto Limited Edition, a captivating fusion of urban culture, artistic engraving, and Swiss watchmaking. This striking timepiece joins the Urban Tribe series, embodying a seamless connection between horology and street art.
The story traces back to 2021, when a Hungarian artist engraved an AIKON watch and showcased it on Instagram. This independent artistic expression sparked an unexpected chain of events, inspiring Maurice Lacroix to launch the highly sought-after AIKON Automatic Urban Tribe and AIKON Automatic Skeleton Urban Tribe, with the designer’s approval. Two years later, they elevated the concept further, unveiling a new creation adorned with illustrations by British artist Wotto a.k.a Craig Watkins, a prominent figure in the street art scene. Today, the brand continues to bridge the worlds of watchmaking and art with the AIKON Automatic Wotto Limited Edition.
The 42mm tonneau-shaped case, featuring a raised bezel with six signature double claws, remains consistent with the AIKON collection. Measuring 11mm in thickness, the stainless steel case is fully engraved with Wotto’s distinctive patterns, reinforcing its artistic identity. Water-resistant to 200 meters, the watch features an anti-reflective sapphire crystal on the front and a transparent case back, offering a glimpse into the mechanics within.
The dial takes center stage in this artistic collaboration. For the first time in the Urban Tribe series, Wotto was given full creative freedom to craft his unique graphic universe. Set against a simple gray background, a vibrant ring of mischievous characters, gradually transitioning from yellow to blue, creates an eye-catching display.
To ensure the artwork remains the focal point, the indexes are minimalistic, marked only by metallic tips. A date window at 3 o’clock features a black background, while the rhodium-plated hour and minute hands, coated with white Super-LumiNova, ensure readability. The rhodium-plated seconds hand complements the overall design.
Beneath this artistic dial beats the automatic ML115 caliber based on the Sellita SW200-1, running at 4 Hz with a 38-hour power reserve. Completing the ensemble is Maurice Lacroix’s signature five-row integrated steel bracelet, each link meticulously engraved with Wotto’s patterns.
Limited to 1,000 pieces, the AIKON Automatic Wotto Limited Edition is priced at USD 3,300, approximately AED 12,120.
