A Celebration of Summer in Time
AIKON Automatic Limited Summer Edition by Maurice Lacroix offers a refreshing twist to its urban-themed design while capturing the essence of a beach vacation. Drawing inspiration from the iconic Calypso model from the 90s, the AIKON has garnered immense popularity, and the latest collection aims to continue this success. With three different sizes and a range of summery dial options accompanied by matching rubber straps, Maurice Lacroix entices fashion-forward individuals to embrace a new beach-inspired look this year.
Introduced in 2016, the AIKON has become synonymous with urban style, featuring a circular bezel with six prominent arms and an integrated bracelet, perfectly suited for the grand boulevards of bustling cities worldwide. However, even city dwellers appreciate occasional beach escapes to soak up the summer sun. Maurice Lacroix revisits the classic AIKON Automatic, initially launched in 2018, by incorporating a playful color palette inspired by the summer season. Each model showcases a Clous de Paris dial motif presented in a matte finish, adding an element of refined elegance to the vibrant dial hues.
The Limited Summer Editions for this season are available in three case sizes, each possessing its unique characteristics. The 35mm option features a Ballerina Pink dial, reminiscent of the evening sky just before sunset. Alternatively, wearers can choose the Tanager Turquoise dial, evoking the color of shallow ocean water. Both models utilize a combination of batons and diamond-set indexes to indicate the hours. The 39mm Limited Summer Edition appeals to both male and female wrists, with the Ballerina Pink and Tanager Turquoise dials exuding a sun-kissed charm and youthful vitality. Fans of Maurice Lacroix will recognize the appealing design language of the AIKON, along with its ergonomic features that have contributed to its remarkable success.
Completing the suite of Limited Summer Edition models are two vibrant references housed in 42mm steel cases. The Tanager Turquoise dial makes a reappearance, accompanied by a lively Orange Soda dial option, reminiscent of the midday sun and radiating an energetic character that remains captivating even during cloudy moments. In line with all Limited Summer Edition models, the Orange Soda dial indicates the hours, minutes, seconds, and date, employing black tones instead of silver accents for a subtle detail that enhances cohesiveness.
To complement the vibrant dials, the Limited Summer Edition models come with matching FKM rubber straps. These straps not only replicate the lively colors but also provide superior flexibility and wearer comfort compared to regular rubber. Additionally, FKM rubber offers enhanced wear-resistance and color durability. Each rubber strap incorporates the company's signature 'M' logo. Furthermore, all Limited Summer Edition models are equipped with a 5-row stainless steel bracelet, featuring Maurice Lacroix's Easy Strap Exchange System, allowing for effortless swapping of straps and bracelets without requiring any tools.
