Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

Two new models crafted in platinum and ornamental stone
Louis Vuitton’s identity has always been shaped by the Art of Travel, a legacy that began with the Maison’s iconic trunks and their distinctive metal brackets and riveted corners. This design language eventually found its way into watchmaking, most notably through the Escale collection, which was originally recognized for its world-time complication. Last year, the brand revisited the line by introducing a refined time-only model, transforming it into a classic round watch while preserving subtle references to the heritage trunks. Today, Louis Vuitton continues the evolution of the Escale with two limited editions adorned with ornamental stones in malachite and turquoise.

The new models feature a platinum case measuring 40 mm in diameter and 10.34 mm in thickness. The central ring of the case is crafted entirely from malachite or turquoise, machined as a monolithic stone piece with precise tolerances. Platinum is used for the lugs, bezel and caseback to protect the more delicate stone elements. The angled and riveted lugs recall the metal brackets of Louis Vuitton trunks. A domed sapphire crystal covers the dial, and an octagonal crown signed with the LV logo completes the design.

The caseback, also executed in platinum and sapphire crystal, is secured with six screws. Each watch includes a saffron colored sapphire set into the back as a subtle detail exclusive to the platinum models. The case offers water resistance of 50 meters.
The dial comes in either green malachite or turquoise. Each stone is hand selected for its natural patterns. The malachite version features horizontal striations that continue into the stone caseband, while the turquoise model highlights well defined dark veins. Both watches feature riveted white gold bracket markers at the quarters, a satin finished minute track with polished white gold studs, dauphine hour and minute hands in white gold and a titanium central seconds hand gently curved to follow the dial’s contours.

Powering the watch is the LFT023 automatic caliber. Designed and encased by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton and manufactured by Le Cercle des Horlogers, the movement operates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 50 hour power reserve. It uses a 22K rose gold micro rotor visible through the caseback and features decorated bridges with sharply polished bevels and frosted surfaces.

Both versions are paired with textured Saffiano leather straps. The malachite model is fitted with a green strap, while the turquoise model comes with a grey one. Each strap is secured with a platinum pin buckle engraved with the LV signature. These editions are limited to 30 pieces per stone variant and priced at €65,500, approximately AED 277,600.
