A unique artistic creation celebrating the Year of the Chinese Fire Horse
The Tourbillon Puzzle collection stands as one of Louis Moinet’s most distinctive releases. It functions as a canvas for métiers d’art, where micro-painting, and high complications coexist on equal terms. For 2026, Louis Moinet turns to the Chinese zodiac, paying tribute to the Year of the Fire Horse through a watch that translates symbolic force into both mechanical and artistic form, the Tourbillon Puzzle Fire Horse.

The watch is housed in an 18-carat 5N red gold case, with a Grade 5 titanium inner case providing structural integrity. It measures 40.7 mm in diameter and features a domed sapphire crystal that rises gently. The caseback is closed, and water resistance is rated at 30 metres.

The dial is constructed as a jigsaw puzzle composed of 81 individual elements arranged across four distinct levels. Warm, fiery tones dominate the composition, amplifying the sense of energy and motion associated with the Fire Horse. Faceted, skeletonised hands treated with luminescent material indicate the hours and minutes. Traditional indices are deliberately omitted, allowing the painted scene to remain uninterrupted. A flying tourbillon is positioned off-centre at 6 o’clock, with a fire opal set behind the tourbillon cage.

Powering the watch is a hand-wound mechanical movement equipped with a flying tourbillon. The calibre operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and is driven by a double-barrel system mounted in opposite orientations. Both barrels discharge simultaneously, delivering a power reserve of 96 hours.
The watch is paired with a black alligator leather strap finished with yellow stitching, a subtle nod to the fiery theme, and secured by a matching buckle. Produced as a unique piece, the watch is priced at CHF 140,000, approximately AED 665,500.
