A new elegant release with a luxurious rose gold case
In 2005, Longines launched the Master Collection, a line of exclusively mechanical watches celebrated for blending classical elegance with modern watchmaking and a wide range of complications. In its latest release, the brand expands this collection with the introduction of the Master Chronograph Moonphase in rose gold.
The watch is housed in a case crafted entirely from 18-carat rose gold, polished throughout to highlight its elegant contours. The case measures 42 mm in diameter and 14.40 mm in thickness. A domed sapphire crystal with a double anti-reflective coating ensures clear visibility under all lighting conditions, while the sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the movement within. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.
The silver dial features Longines’ signature embossed “barleycorn” pattern, adding subtle texture and depth. Blued steel hands stand out elegantly against the light background, complemented by a 30-minute chronograph counter with day and month windows at 12 o’clock, a small seconds display combined with a 24-hour indicator at 9 o’clock, and a 12-hour counter paired with a moonphase aperture at 6 o’clock. A central blued hand indicates the date, pointing to a peripheral scale around the dial.
Powering the watch is the Longines caliber L687.5, an automatic chronograph movement developed exclusively for the brand and derived from the legendary Valjoux 7750 architecture. It features a column-wheel mechanism and a silicon balance spring, enhancing resistance to magnetic fields and temperature variations. Operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it offers a power reserve of 66 hours.
The watch is paired with a brown alligator leather strap with beige stitching and secured by an 18-carat rose gold pin buckle. It joins the brand’s permanent collection and is priced at EUR 25,800 (approximately AED 109,600).
