The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Longines Conquest Heritage Year of the Snake Edition

A Special Edition in Collaboration with Chinese Artist Wu Jian'an

As we approach the Year of the Wood Snake in 2025, Longines introduces a special edition of its Conquest Heritage model. In collaboration with renowned Chinese artist Wu Jian'an, Longines unveils a unique design featuring a mystical snake holding a Lingzhi mushroom, the "mushroom of immortality" in Chinese mythology, engraved intricately on the case back.

In East Asian culture, the snake symbolizes elegance, wisdom, and transformation. Known for its intuition and resilience, it also represents rebirth, encouraging reflection and personal growth.

Limited to 2,025 pieces, the Conquest Heritage Year of the Snake features a gradient red dial accentuated by the collection's signature gilt hands and indexes. This special edition marks the second time Longines celebrates the Chinese New Year, following last year’s Flagship Heritage Moonphase Year of the Dragon, which captivated enthusiasts with its stunning deep red dial, a traditional color symbolizing prosperity in Chinese culture.

The timepiece is encased in a 40 mm round stainless steel case. The polished fixed bezel on the front contrasts elegantly with the satin-brushed finishes across the rest of the case. With a slim profile of 10.80 mm, it boasts a refined aesthetic suitable for various wrist sizes. The chamfered, straight, and shortened lugs extend gracefully from the rounded case, ensuring ergonomic comfort. The winding crown is designed for effortless operation, and the sapphire crystal features a multi-layered anti-reflective coating.

The case back is adorned with a captivating engraving of the mystical snake holding a Lingzhi mushroom, accompanied by the limited edition numbering (1/2025). The watch also offers water resistance up to 50 meters.

For this special edition, Longines opted for a distinctive domed dial with a sunray finish, showcasing a gradient red that transitions from a bright center to darker edges. Red, a symbol of festivities, good luck, wealth, and happiness in Chinese culture, is paired with gilt appliques for an auspicious aesthetic. The elongated indices, hands, and winged hourglass logo are all adorned in gold. The dauphine-style hands incorporate a strip of Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility.

At the heart of the watch is the Longines L888.5 automatic movement, based on the ETA A31.L11. With a reduced frequency of 25,200 vibrations per hour (vph) and a silicon balance spring, the movement ensures enhanced accuracy and reliability. It also boasts an improved power reserve of 72 hours, offering exceptional autonomy.

Completing the timepiece is a black alligator strap with a stainless steel buckle. Priced at CHF 2,850 (approximately AED 11,600), this limited edition of 2,025 pieces is a fitting tribute to the Year of the Snake.
