A striking design that merges contemporary art with Swiss craftsmanship
Louis Erard once again presents a remarkable collaboration, this time with Swiss artist Sylvie Fleury, as the brand continues to embrace the regulator design as a platform for artistic partnerships. This model reaffirms its status as a driving force in unconventional design culture, transcending the traditional concept of a watch as a mere timekeeping instrument to become a true work of art.
This new timepiece masterfully embodies Swiss watchmaking craftsmanship, infused with a bold and playful spirit of contemporary art, making it a wearable artwork and a unique expression of creative vision.
Sylvie Fleury’s influence is evident in the watch’s design, drawing inspiration from her series of works based on makeup palettes. Born in Geneva in 1961, Fleury is renowned for her bold explorations of consumer culture and fashion, with her works exhibited in leading museums and art galleries worldwide.
Housed in a black stainless steel case treated with PVD, the watch features a three-piece construction, fully polished before receiving its signature black finish. Measuring 39 mm in diameter and 12.25 mm in thickness, it is equipped with a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The transparent caseback reveals the movement, while a black fumé sapphire crystal adds a distinctive touch. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
The dial showcases the signature Régulateur design with a vertical display of time indicators, inspired by Fleury’s makeup palette motifs. The base is crafted in black polished lacquer, while the subdials stand out: a matte coral domed hour counter at 12 o’clock and a matte magenta domed seconds counter at 6 o’clock. The Louis Erard and Sylvie Fleury logos are positioned at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock, respectively. The central hand indicates the minutes.
The hands further enhance the artistic aesthetic: the second hand is finished in matte magenta lacquer, the hour hand in matte coral lacquer, and the polished minute hand features a black PVD treatment.
The watch is powered by the Sellita SW266-1 caliber, an automatic movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and offering a power reserve of 38 hours. The movement is elegantly decorated and includes a specially designed openworked oscillating weight.
The timepiece is fitted with a Shiny black calf leather strap, black calf leather lining, polished stainless steel, pin buckle with black PVD coating. This limited edition is restricted to just 178 pieces, with a price of CHF 3,900 which is equivalent to 15,800 AED.
