The Elegant Classic Watch Returns in a Red Gold Case to Celebrate the Brand’s 15th Anniversary
Five years ago, in celebration of its first decade, Laurent Ferrier unveiled the first Classic Origin, crafted from titanium, a three-hand, time-only watch born from a clear vision that embodies a design philosophy rooted not in extravagance, but in balance, simplicity, practicality, and the artisanal precision for which the Maison is renowned. Today, in honor of its fifteenth anniversary, the brand presents a new interpretation of this timepiece: the Classic Origin Beige.
The new Classic Origin Beige comes in a luxurious 5N red gold case, measuring 40 mm in diameter and 10.7 mm in thickness. Featuring its signature ball-shaped crown, the case is polished to highlight its smooth, pebble-like contours. The warm tone of the precious metal complements the dial, enhancing its inviting aesthetic.
The Classic Origin Beige embodies the minimalist spirit so cherished by Laurent Ferrier. Its beige dial, infused with subtle warm undertones, is punctuated by a brown railway track, central cross, and hour marker transfers.
Legibility, a value deeply esteemed by the brand, is ensured by the minute track accented with red Arabic numerals, echoing the highlights on the small seconds at six o’clock. At the center, the signature 18k gold Assegai (African spear) hands glide across the opaline surface with serene elegance, as if intimately familiar with the story of time they reveal.

Beneath the sapphire case back lies the LF116.01 calibre, a manually wound movement. At its heart, a screw balance comes to life, guided by a Breguet-type overcoil hairspring, a pairing that enhances precision, reduces positional errors, and ensures consistent timekeeping. The calibre also features a long-blade ratchet pawl, producing the distinctive sound and tactile feedback when winding the watch. Beating at 3 Hz, it delivers a robust 80-hour power reserve.

While the LF116.01 calibre may appear more minimalist than some of the Maison’s more complex movements, it maintains the same meticulous finishing. The bridges feature a sandblasted finish treated in black rhodium, with every edge hand-polished. In contrast, the mirror-polished screws gleam like points of light. Every component is hand-finished within the Laurent Ferrier workshop.
The Classic Origin Beige is paired with a mocha nubuck strap lined with Alcantara. Its 5N red gold pin buckle echoes the case with warmth and elegance. The watch is priced at CHF 43,000, approximately AED 196,000.
