After the success of the Projekt 01, the indie brand returns with a new creative vision
In 2020, Manuel Emch, Barth Nussbaumer, and Amr Sindi founded kollokium, born from a shared desire to experiment freely without the constraints of heritage or corporate direction. The result is a project-based platform that treats each creation as an artistic exploration rather than a traditional product release. After making waves with its debut timepiece, Projekt 01 (including variants “B,” “F,” and “E”), kollokium now unveils its next chapter, the Projekt 02 Friends, Family, Fools & Flippers Edition.
While Projekt 01 introduced kollokium’s bold neubrutalist style through sharp geometry, Projekt 02 takes a more organic approach. It replaces angular aggression with softer curves and layered depth, reflecting the collective’s ongoing study of light, shadow, and texture. The result is an object that feels both architectural and natural, born from a deep curiosity about how design and watchmaking can coexist as art.
The watch features a 39.5 mm monobloc case crafted from die-cast 316L stainless steel, a manufacturing method rarely seen in the industry. By casting molten steel rather than machining it, kollokium achieves shapes and surface textures that feel raw and tactile. The central barrel-shaped body appears to float between four triangular lugs, creating the illusion of a welded structure. At only 5.9 mm in height without the crystal and 12.4 mm with it, the watch sits elegantly on the wrist, emphasizing comfort despite its sculptural form. A valve-shaped crown serves as the only protruding element, maintaining the watch’s seamless silhouette. The case is water-resistant to 50 meters, and with no traditional bezel or caseback, it presents itself as a fully integrated form.
Rather than being a separate component, the caseback is fused into the body, turning the entire case into a single structural shell. This design supports the dial’s topographical architecture and allows a continuous transition between steel, crystal, and dial.
The dial is composed of 67 individual plates arranged in nine layers, forming a miniature topographic landscape hand-painted in warm silver tones with sandblasted edges and filled with white lacquer mixed with green-emission Super-LumiNova. Each layer is placed manually, a process that can take up to six hours per dial. The result is a surface rich in depth and texture, where every detail is slightly unique. The hour and minute hands match the dial’s tone and incorporate Lichtblock luminous elements, while the seconds hand adds contrast with a fluorescent orange finish and a triangular counterweight.

Powering the watch is the La Joux-Perret G101 automatic movement, operating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offering a 68-hour power reserve. The watch is paired with a khaki-green elastic textile strap, inspired by outdoor gear for a light and breathable fit. It features a die-cast steel hook buckle and stitched loops that allow for quick and precise adjustment.
This edition is limited to 199 pieces, offered first to kollokium’s earliest supporters and Projekt 01 owners at a price of CHF 3,333.33 (approximately AED 15,400). A public version of Projekt 02 will follow in early 2026, priced at CHF 3,666.66 (approximately AED 17,000).
