Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

The second chapter in the journey of the rising Japanese brand
Kiwame Tokyo belongs to a new generation of Japanese independent brands that emerged from a desire to return to the essential values of watchmaking. Founded in Asakusa, Tokyo, the brand positions itself around honest mechanical construction, thoughtful design, and fair pricing.

Following the Kurotsuki and Usuki debut models, Kiwame Tokyo expands its lineup with the IWAO collection, introducing the Ginkai and Sumi. These two new references interpret the brand’s familiar architecture through a more contemporary field-watch expression.

Each model is housed in a stainless-steel case measuring 38 mm in diameter with a thickness of 9.5 mm. The deliberately slim proportions allow the IWAO to sit comfortably on the wrist while maintaining a refined presence suitable for both everyday wear and more formal settings. A solid steel caseback protects the movement and contributes to a water-resistance rating of 100 meters.

The IWAO collection is offered in two dial colors: silver for the Ginkai and black for the Sumi. Both versions feature a distinctive grained central texture inspired by natural stone formations, contrasted by a smooth outer ring that defines the hour scale. Applied Arabic numerals appear at 12, 3, 6, and 9, complemented by polished bar indexes in between. The redesigned hands adopt a pencil-style profile to enhance legibility.
Powering the watch is the Miyota 9039 automatic movement, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivering a power reserve of 42 hours. The watch is paired with an Italian calf-leather strap fitted with a quick-release system for easy interchangeability. The price is set at USD 690, approximately AED 2,600.
