Marking 100 Years Since the Bauhaus School Moved to Dessau, Germany
Junghans is a German brand founded in 1861 in the Black Forest town of Schramberg. It grew into one of the largest watch manufacturers in the world during the 20th century, known for its clean aesthetic, technical precision, and deep ties to German design history. Junghans has long echoed the principles of the famed Bauhaus school of art, even collaborating with former Bauhaus student Max Bill to create iconic watches that still resonate today.
This year, Junghans honors the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus movement’s relocation to the German city of Dessau by unveiling two limited-edition watches under its FORM collection, the FORM A Bauhaus Edition and the FORM Quartz Bauhaus Edition with a white dial.
The FORM A Bauhaus Edition comes in a matte black PVD-coated case measuring 39.3mm in diameter and 9.5mm in thickness. On the reverse, the screw-down caseback features a sapphire crystal printed with a Bauhaus motif. The watch is water-resistant to 50 meters.

The dark case contrasts beautifully with the bowl-shaped matte black dial, which is accented by 12 colorful indices forming a subtle chromatic ring. Neutral grey hands, lined with white luminous material, and a date window at 3 o'clock complete the design.
The watch is powered by the automatic Caliber J800.2, based on the ETA 2824-2. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 38-hour power reserve. It comes fitted with a black PVD-coated stainless steel Milanese bracelet featuring a quick-release function.
Both the automatic and quartz models are limited to 1,000 pieces each. The automatic version is priced at £1,290 (approximately AED 6,400), while the quartz variant retails for £590 (approximately AED 2,900).
