Introducing Jaeger-LeCoultre's New Master Control Chronograph Calendar

Inspired by one of Jaeger Le-Coultre's best-selling watches of the 1990s, the new Master Control collection was revived in early 2020 with the introduction of the Master Control Chronograph Calendar Edition. This edition uniquely combines several complications that Jaeger-LeCoultre has traditionally presented individually in its watches: a chronograph and a triple calendar with moon phases.

The company is now adding two new versions: one in stainless steel with a blue dial, and one in rose gold with a silver-colored dial. The new Master Control collection mimics the design of its predecessor from 1992, which in turn was based on the Futurematic watch from the 1950s. The Futurematic was notable for its success and its distinctive crown placement on the back of the case.
The Master Control collection received updates last year, as the company introduced a rose gold chronograph version with a black dial.

The Master Control Chronograph Calendar continues the legacy of the classic round watches that were immensely popular in the 1950s. Housed in a case with a double-brushed and polished finish, this timepiece is available in pink gold or stainless steel, measuring 40mm x 12.05mm and water-resistant up to 50 meters. The case maintains the original design of the Master Control watches, with the lugs being beveled along their length. The rectangular chronograph pushers also add a purposeful touch.

The stainless steel edition features a blue dial, while the pink gold case is paired with a silver dial. Both versions offer excellent legibility for their functions (hours, minutes, small seconds) and complications, including a chronograph with a pulsometric scale and a 30-minute counter. The central seconds hand precisely displays chronograph seconds to the nearest quarter of a second.

Combining a chronograph and a triple calendar, this watch integrates essential complications into daily life. It features day and month windows aligned at 12 o'clock, a date indication, and a moon phase that connects the timepiece to the daily cycle of time. The dial is framed by a pulsometric scale on the flange, a traditional measure for tracking heart rates per minute.

Visible under the sapphire crystal case-back, the in-house Caliber 759 offers a 65-hour power reserve. Caliber 759, beating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, is an automatic mechanical Manufacture movement featuring an integrated column wheel and vertical clutch for precise chronograph regulation. appealing and is rich in intricate features, including the presence of blue screws and the renowned Geneva stripes. The movement is clearly visible thanks to the slightly skeletonized gold rotor.

For the prices, the stainless steel edition with strap: $17,500 which is equivalent to 64,300 AED, Stainless steel bracelet edition priced at $19,100 which is equivalent to 72,200 AED, and the Pink gold edition priced $32,500 which is equivalent to 119,000 AED.
