Open-worked Dial Inspired by the World of Digital Art
Jacob & Co. is One of the most prominent brands, widely recognized, especially among celebrities, due to its distinctive and unique designs and the marketing strategy of its founder in offering exclusive editions with a select group of influential personalities. The brand has excelled in forming exceptional partnerships with celebrities, athletes, and renowned artists, blending its craftsmanship with the fame of these icons. These collaborations have led to the release of exclusive, limited-edition watches that combine innovative designs with artistic skill. Among the most notable of these partnerships is the collaboration with luxury car brands like "Bugatti" and several athletes. Through these collaborations, Jacob & Co. has continued to create custom pieces that reflect the personal style and passions of its celebrity partners. One of its latest releases this year is the new "NFT" watch, introduced in collaboration with Cryptopunk. This piece, inspired by digital technology, incorporates NFTs and stands out with its intricate geometric style.
The watch comes in a skeleton structure designed based on the famous Epic X, emphasizing a lightweight, technical aesthetic that highlights its unique shape. The case is further accentuated by a large, ornate crown, which is safeguarded on both sides by guards. With a 44 mm diameter and a thickness of 13.05 mm, the case is crafted from Grade 5 Titanium. The watch is protected by a sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective treatment, ensuring clarity and scratch resistance. The caseback also features a sapphire crystal, showcasing a custom CryptoPunk series number. With a water resistance of up to 100 meters.
The open-worked dial of the watch showcases two black vertical bridges. At the 12 o'clock position, the CryptoPunk logo is elegantly suspended above the mainspring, making a bold statement. The skeleton hour and minute hands, accented with red tips, gracefully point to a colored inner flange, which is marked with white printed indexes and numerals for clear, effortless time reading.
The watch is powered by the calibre JCAM45, a hand-wound movement featuring a vertically aligned skeleton structure that highlights its intricate design. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), ensuring precise timekeeping. The openworked barrel offers a 48-hour power reserve, making it both technically advanced and visually captivating. It comes with a black rubber strap, and it’s a limited edition of 99 pieces.
