For the First Time in Titanium, a Special Edition Marking 60 Years of Swiss Air Force Aerobatics
The IWC Schaffhausen Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Patrouille Suisse is a special edition timepiece created to honor the 60th anniversary of the Swiss Air Force’s iconic aerobatic team. Limited to just 250 pieces, this release marks the fifth collaboration between IWC and Patrouille Suisse, a team globally recognized for their striking red and white F-5E Tiger jets.
Patrouille Suisse, founded in 1964, embodies precision and technical prowess—values that IWC has long celebrated in their collaborations with the team.
The IWC Mark series began with the mil-spec Mark XI, created for the British Royal Air Force in 1948, with a civilian version debuting in 1994 as the Mark XII. The latest iteration, the Mark XX, was introduced in 2022 and is widely regarded as the most versatile everyday watch in IWC’s lineup.
For the first time ever, IWC has introduced a version of the Mark XX with a titanium case. This lightweight material, a premium upgrade over the standard stainless steel, contributes to a thinner profile, with the titanium case measuring 10.6mm thick (compared to 10.8mm for the steel version).
The watch features a 40mm case, finished in a matte grey sand-blasted texture. The case back is engraved with three jets in formation, accompanied by the inscription “Tribute to Patrouille Suisse” and the watch's unique number in the series. The case offers 100m of water resistance and includes a dual-sided AR-coated sapphire crystal, which is secured against displacement due to sudden drops in air pressure.
The dial showcases a stunning sunray grey finish, accented by a red-tipped seconds hand that adds a subtle touch of color. Black luminescent hands ensure readability in any lighting condition, while a white date window is positioned at 3 o’clock for practicality. The white printed Arabic numerals and minute tracks are also luminescent.
Powered by IWC’s 32111 caliber automatic movement, the watch boasts an impressive 120-hour power reserve. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 VPH (4 Hz) and is composed of 164 components, delivering precise timekeeping and reliability.
Completing the look is a black textile strap with a matching titanium pin buckle, and IWC’s EasX-CHANGE system allows for quick and easy strap changes.
Limited to just 250 pieces, the IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XX Patrouille Suisse is priced at CHF 6,300, which is equivalent to AED 27,300.
