Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
In collaboration with British racing driver George Russell
For more than a century, IWC has approached watchmaking as a creative space for engineering. Its identity has never been rooted in decorative excess or nostalgia, but rather in clarity of purpose, mechanical efficiency, and material experimentation driven by real-world demands. From the cockpit to the racetrack, IWC’s watches have consistently reflected environments where precision is not optional and failure is not tolerated. This philosophy has shaped the brand’s aviation watches, its early use of ceramic, and its long-standing involvement with high-performance motorsport.

Within the Pilot’s Watch collection, ceramic has become more than a technical solution. It is a material language that speaks to resilience, lightness, and long-term durability, values that mirror the mindset of modern professional athletes. That shared outlook forms the basis of IWC’s latest collaboration, developed alongside British racing driver George Russell, following his major milestone of winning the 2025 Formula One Singapore Grand Prix.
From this collaboration emerged two limited-edition Pilot’s Watches: a chronograph and a simple automatic model, both executed in black ceramic and defined by restrained blue accents drawn from Russell’s personal racing identity.

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell is housed in a 41.9 mm case with a thickness of 15.5 millimetres. It is crafted from black zirconium oxide ceramic, while the crown and chronograph pushers are executed in Ceratanium, combining the lightness of titanium with a surface hardness comparable to ceramic. On the reverse, a solid titanium caseback is engraved with the number 63, a personal marker tied to his brother’s racing number when they first started karting. The watch offers water resistance to 100 metres.

The dial is matte black, providing a neutral backdrop for the vivid blue accents that define the collaboration. Black hands filled with blue Super-LumiNova ensure legibility in low light, while the Arabic numerals and hour markers are printed in the same distinctive shade. The layout remains unmistakably Pilot’s Watch, with chronograph counters, small seconds, and a day and date display integrated at 3 o’clock, all arranged for immediate readability.

Powering the watch is IWC’s in-house calibre 69380, an automatic movement that operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 46 hours. The watch is paired with a blue rubber strap that echoes the dial accents, fitted with a pin buckle. It is produced as a limited edition of 1,063 pieces and priced at USD 12,900 / AED 45,800.
Alongside the chronograph, the Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 George Russell offers a more streamlined expression of the same design language. Its black zirconium oxide ceramic case measures 41 mm in diameter and 11.4 mm in thickness, giving it a slimmer profile. The crown is made from Ceratanium, while the titanium caseback again features the engraved number 63. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres.

The dial follows the same visual formula as the chronograph, with a black base contrasted by blue Super-LumiNova-filled hands and matching blue numerals and indices with a date window at 3 o’clock.

The automatic calibre 32112 drives the watch. Operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), it incorporates a double-pawl winding system that provides an extended power reserve of 120 hours. This model is also fitted with a blue rubber strap equipped with a pin buckle and is limited to 1,063 pieces, priced at USD 8,900 / AED 32,900.
