Introducing IWC Launches the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula 1 Mark XX Watch

As IWC opens the new year, it renews its prestigious partnership with Mercedes-Benz by unveiling a new release. This is not the first time the two iconic brands have come together, as IWC has previously launched several remarkable timepieces in collaboration with Mercedes. Notably, the "Schaffhausen Big Pilot G63" Editions, both inspired by the legendary Mercedes-AMG G63 Grand Edition. Continuing this tradition of excellence, IWC now introduces its latest creation, the “Pilot's Mark XX Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One”. This new timepiece not only celebrates their longstanding collaboration but also pays tribute to IWC’s partnership with Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team, blending cutting-edge design with the precision of motorsport engineering.

The watch comes in a sleek 40mm diameter case, measuring just 10.6mm in thickness. Crafted from lightweight grade 5 titanium, the case is sand-blasted to offer a refined, matte finish. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal, which provides a durable, scratch-resistant shield. The solid titanium caseback enhances durability, while the engraved crown ensures water resistance up to 100 meters, making it suitable for everyday wear and light aquatic activities.

The watch features a stunning black dial accented by vibrant turquoise details, adding a unique and eye-catching touch. A printed minute track surrounds the dial, complementing the numerals placed around its edges. The Alpha hour and minute hands are coated with SuperLumiNova, ensuring easy readability in low light. A practical date window at 3 o'clock adds both function and style to the design.

The watch is powered by the IWC 32111 caliber, an automatic movement supplied by ValFleurier. This robust movement offers a generous 120-hour power reserve, ensuring reliable performance over several days without the need for winding. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), it delivers precise timekeeping and smooth motion of the hands, and it comes with a Petronas green rubber strap.
