An elegant titanium release Inspired by the desert mirage
Isotope was founded with a mission to reimagine time through design in motion. The British brand is known for creating unconventional timepieces that blend geometry and precision.
This year, the brand is celebrating its 10th anniversary with the release of the OVNI Jumping Hour Founders Edition. Continuing its celebration, Isotope introduces the Flyway Fata Morgana, a piece inspired by the rare atmospheric phenomenon where light refracts over the horizon to create a mirage.
The watch is presented in a 316L stainless steel case combining polished, brushed, and sandblasted finishes. It measures 36 mm in diameter, 12.3 mm in thickness, and has a 42 mm lug-to-lug distance. The Clous de Paris bezel adds a sophisticated texture, while the brand’s signature hyperbolic paraboloid (3D surface with a "horse saddle" shape) sapphire crystal protects the dial. The case features a mirror-finished push-down crown engraved with the brand’s Lacrima logo and offers a water resistance of 100 meters.
The mirror-polished titanium dial shifts and dances with surrounding light, recalling the illusory beauty of a desert mirage. The heat-blued Lacrima hands, filled with Super-LumiNova, glide across the dial with striking contrast.
The watch is offered with two Swiss automatic movements. The first is the Landeron mechanical calibre, operating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a 40-hour power reserve, decorated with blued screws, Perlage, and Côtes de Genève finishing. Alternatively, the La Joux-Perret G101 Soigné is available, also beating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), with an extended 68-hour power reserve and a custom Isotope Lacrima rotor.
It comes with an 18 mm quick-release stainless steel bracelet with a signed butterfly clasp. The watch is a limited edition of only 100 pieces, priced at GBP 1,496 (approximately AED 7,400) with the La Joux-Perret movement, and GBP 1,200 (approximately AED 5,900) with the Landeron movement.
