Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition timepiece with a new black and white aesthetic
HYT is an independent brand renowned for its unique approach to watchmaking, blending traditional mechanical movements with avant-garde fluidic technology. This innovative method utilizes fluorescent fluids within a system of capillary tubes to indicate time with a retrograde function, offering a unique visual experience.
Building on its reputation for pushing the boundaries of horological design, HYT has recently introduced the Conical Tourbillon Panda. This latest model follows the release of the Conical Tourbillon Infinity Sapphires and continues to explore the concept of fluid time. The Conical Tourbillon Panda is limited to 8 pieces and features a striking black-and-white aesthetic.
The Conical Tourbillon Panda features a titanium case coated in white ceramic, complemented by a titanium crown with a white ceramic coating and a black DLC-coated titanium insert, measuring 48 mm in width, 52.30 mm in length, and 25.15 mm in thickness. Its domed box sapphire crystal comes with an antireflective treatment, ensuring clarity and durability.
The first striking feature of the watch is its conical tourbillon, adorned with three 2.5mm natural white agate gemstones and smaller counterweights, alongside two white and four black spheres, each measuring 1.5mm in diameter, within the tourbillon cage. This conical tourbillon makes a complete clockwise revolution every 30 seconds. Surrounding the cage, three large white agate spheres rotate at varying speeds: the first completes four turns per minute, the second five turns per minute, and the third takes six turns per minute, all in a clockwise direction.
The dial is further enhanced by a white agate chapter ring featuring three-dimensional, and black-coated indices treated with Super-LumiNova. HYT's signature retrograde hour indication utilizes black and white liquids, driven by bellows within a borosilicate capillary tube. Minutes are indicated by a matte black pointer hand with white Super-LumiNova.
The watch is driven by the 701 TC caliber, a manually wound movement that features an elevated tourbillon at its mechanical heart. This tourbillon showcases a balance wheel inclined at 30 degrees, an escapement wheel at 15 degrees, and an anchor at 23 degrees. This movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz), and provides a power reserve of 40 hours. The watch comes with a white rubber strap, secured by a pin buckle crafted from black DLC-coated titanium. As we mentioned, the watch is limited to 8 pieces and priced at CHF 355,000, equivalent to AED 1,430,000.
