A Edition That Redefines Telling Time Through Liquids
HYT, is one of the most prominent brands in the luxury watch industry, renowned for its unique approach to time display using fluid technology. Founded in 2012, the company has successfully merged innovative engineering with contemporary design. HYT watches are distinguished by their unconventional method of showing time, utilizing glass tubes filled with colored liquids to indicate hours, creating an extraordinary and captivating visual experience. Among HYT's impressive collections is the “conical Tourbillon”, which includes remarkable pieces like the “Infinity Sapphire”, showcasing precision craftsmanship and design excellence. Now, the brand introduced the latest release, the “S1 Titanium Japan Limited Edition”, Exclusively available in japan.
The watch features a case made from silver and black-coated titanium. With a diameter of 48.8 mm and a thickness of 16.2 mm, the case showcases a brushed finish that enhances its modern aesthetic. The titanium crown is positioned between the 2 and 3 o'clock and is protected from below by a guard. It is equipped with a unique water-resistant design rated for 100 meters. Additionally, the case is complemented by a sapphire crystal, which not only protects the intricate dial but also provides a clear view of the innovative fluid display that characterizes HYT’s signature style.
The open worked dial displays a central minute hand, a small seconds hand in a sub dial located between 9 and 10 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator between 2 and 3 o’clock. The edges feature white printed numerals indicating the hours, which are represented by a colored liquid that moves over time within a tube. Upon reaching the end of its path, the liquid is gracefully reset in a retrograde motion, initiating a new 12-hour cycle. Each hand is elegantly designed in dark grey and white, with satin-finished surfaces adorned with white Super-LumiNova for improved visibility in low light. Surrounding the liquid tube are white printed numerals indicating the minutes.
The watch is powered by the caliber 501-CM manual winding movement. This innovative movement features two small bellows connected by a delicate glass capillary, creating a stunning visual display of retrograde fluidic hours. It operated at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a power reserve of 72 hours, the movement not only ensures reliability but also captivates with its intricate design, including finely sandblasted and satin-finished components.
It comes with a light grey Velcro strap with a sand-blasted titanium buckle, as well as a black rubber strap equipped with a pin buckle. The watch is a limited edition with only 8 pieces available, priced at CHF 58,000, which is equivalent to AED 255,200.
