In a collaboration with Congolese artist Fally Ipupa
HYT is renowned as the only watchmaking company to display time using fluids, an ultimate innovation that merges cutting-edge mechanical technology with avant-garde design to create some of the most nonconformist watches ever made. This year, the brand unveils its first collaborative timepiece with Congolese music icon Fally Ipupa: the S1 5N Gold Titanium Limited Edition “Fally Ipupa.”
Crafted from 5N gold and black DLC-coated titanium, the case measures 45.30 × 46.30 × 17.20mm and showcases the muscular lines of HYT’s new ergonomic case design. These bold contours are softened by satin finishes and paired with an openworked dial that exposes the brand’s signature hydromechanical heart. The angular silhouette is enriched by the soft shimmer of pink gold and the striking presence of HYT’s proprietary fluidic display in black, elegantly circling the dial’s periphery to indicate the retrograde hours.
The dial features a honeycomb-textured black flange housing rhodium-plated Arabic numerals, along with three 5N gold hands, for minutes, seconds, and power reserve, each treated with white Super-LumiNova for optimal legibility in the dark.
Powering the watch is the hand-wound caliber 501-CM, which operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 72-hour power reserve. It drives a suite of functions including retrograde fluidic hours, central minutes, small seconds positioned between 9 and 10 o’clock, and a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock. The movement’s 352 components include a pair of bellows that propel two immiscible liquids inside a borosilicate capillary tube, a groundbreaking system protected by seven patents and recognized with the Innovation Prize at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève in 2012.

The case integrates seamlessly with both a Pure Black rubber strap and a Pure Black Velcro option, each equipped with a quick-release system. Both straps are secured by black DLC-coated titanium buckles, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist. The watch is limited to just 8 pieces and priced at CHF 78,000, approximately AED 344,000.
