Introducing Hublot Unveils the Big Bang MECA-10 Street Art Collection

Bold Graffiti-Inspired Designs Celebrate Miami Art Week

Hublot continues to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Big Bang, this time during Miami Art Week, following its first celebration at Dubai Watch Week with two special editions created in collaboration with Ahmed Seddiqi.

The brand today unveils the Big Bang MECA–10 Street Art, a collection that clearly embodies Hublot’s two-decade-long mission to challenge the norms of traditional Swiss watchmaking. Hublot returned to Miami, one of the world’s most vibrant cultural hubs, to celebrate this milestone with an event that reflected the bold identity that has always defined the Big Bang. The company presented four new editions, in addition to a unique piece gifted to American rapper 50 Cent, who performed during the unveiling of the new watches.

The Big Bang MECA–10 Street Art collection further explores Hublot’s renowned “Art of Fusion” philosophy but in a bolder, more contemporary manner. The collection comprises four editions, each presenting the wrist as a creative canvas inspired by graffiti—a true reflection of Miami’s street art scene and the city’s iconic Wynwood Walls.

Launching this collection in the Big Bang’s 20th-anniversary year is highly symbolic. Since its debut in 2005, the Big Bang has revolutionized watchmaking with its “sandwich” case design and innovative material combinations. That same year, it won the Best Design award at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG), propelling Hublot into a period of rapid global expansion. Over the past two decades, the Big Bang has served as a platform for experimentation with sapphire, ceramic, embroidery, leather, and now concrete and street art.

The watch features a 44 mm case with a thickness of 15.3 mm, giving it a commanding presence on the wrist while accommodating the intricate architecture of the MECA-10 movement. Hublot combines composite materials and titanium with a distinctive concrete element, lending the case an urban tactile character. The composite concrete is designed to resemble an aged city wall weathered by time, enhanced with vivid, UV-reactive paint accents. Cracks in the concrete are filled with luminous pigments that create a spiderweb effect under UV light. The bezel is secured with six signature H-shaped titanium screws coated in black PVD, a hallmark of Hublot since 1980.

The skeletonized dial reveals the movement’s engineering without a traditional dial plate, while the street art aesthetic continues across the bridges and gears with splattered paint. Neon colors contrast sharply with the matte black and gray components, creating a visual tension between mechanical precision and artistic spontaneity. Skeletonized hands filled with luminescent material ensure clear readability in low light.

The collection comprises four colorways, each expressing a different aspect of street art:

“Sunshine” edition: Features yellow and orange tones, with glowing yellow cracks and green and black paint splashes, evoking sunlit urban walls layered with graffiti.

“Magic City” edition: Pays tribute to Miami’s neon glow, with hot magenta cracks and swirling green and black accents reminiscent of retro-futuristic Ocean Drive.

“Vice” edition: Leans into turquoise blue, reflecting Miami’s waters and Art Deco aesthetic, with glowing turquoise cracks creating a watery, almost radiant effect.

“Big Water” edition: The darkest of the four, with deep purple-blue elements and violet glowing cracks that convey a dramatic, cosmic energy.

The collection is powered by Hublot’s in-house manual-winding HUB1201 movement, featuring an industrial-inspired architecture with structural bridges and a distinctive mechanical layout. One of its standout features is the 10-day power reserve, achieved through a dual-barrel system. The power reserve indicator is prominently displayed at 6 o’clock, while a visible rack-and-pinion system at 12 o’clock moves as the watch is wound, adding a dynamic mechanical element to the dial.

Each watch comes with a black rubber strap with a textured overlay mimicking cracked concrete with luminous accents, complemented by a black ceramic and titanium deployant buckle and Hublot’s One-Click strap system.

Production is extremely limited, with each colorway restricted to 10 pieces only. The retail price is USD 57,500, approximately AED 211,200.
