First Look Hublot and Seddiqi Unveil Two Limited Edition Watches for DWW 2023 (Live Pictures)

Hublot, a Swiss watchmaking company founded in 1980, the brand has been a trailblazer in the luxury watch industry. Its inaugural timepiece featured a luxurious gold case paired with a durable rubber strap. This innovative approach marked the birth of Hublot's "Art of Fusion" philosophy, which harmoniously combines tradition with avant-garde, craftsmanship and cutting-edge technology. This fusion has since become the hallmark of Hublot's aesthetic and technical identity.

During this year’s Dubai Watch Week exhibition, Hublot, in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons,unveils two limited-edition timepieces within the Classic Fusion collection, the “CLASSIC FUSION BLACK MAGIC DUBAI WATCH WEEK”, and the “CLASSIC FUSION BLACK MAGIC DIAMONDS DUBAI WATCH WEEK”. These Timepieces are the result of a collaboration with the award winning calligraphy artist Wissam Shawkat. Shawkat's renowned ability to blend traditional artistry with a modern touch, with Hublot's own dedication to pioneering innovation and expressive artistry, creating pieces that appeal to a global audience. This collaboration represents a perfect synergy, bringing together distinct realms of creativity and craftsmanship under the banner of Hublot.

In a tribute to the rich Arabian heritage, the two special edition timepieces from Hublot are crafted with deep respect and admiration for the region's cultural and artistic legacy. Drawing from the evocative beauty of Arabic language, as each timepiece showcases a beautiful calligraphy on its dial, a masterful work by the renowned artist Wissam Shawkat. His artistry brings to life vibrant, contrasting colors that elegantly accentuate the sleek black cases and dials.

The “Classic Fusion Black Magic Dubai Watch Week” edition, encapsulates elegance in its 42 mm x 10.4 mm black ceramic case, with a matching brushed black ceramic bezel, enhancing its sleek and contemporary look, while the “Classic Fusion Black Magic Diamonds Dubai Watch Week” edition enhances the luxury experience with its 38 mm x 9.8 mm design. This elegant timepiece features a polished black anodized aluminum bezel, set with 36 black brilliant-cut diamonds. These sparkling gems add a touch of sophistication and glamor, elevating the watch to a new level of refinement and style. The polished black ceramic case back on both watches is engraved with “SPECIAL EDITION XX/50”, signifying its exclusivity as one of only 50 pieces in this limited series. Additionally, they both offer 50 meters of water resistance.

Both watches offer a twist on the traditional dial design. They showcase a matte black dial featuring decals with super-luminova, with polished and rhodium-plated hands.The Arabic calligraphy in an array of rich, vibrant hues - bright orange, blue, green, and red. This calligraphy, penned by the talented Wissam Shawkat, elegantly adorns the dial, creating a visual parallel to the enchanting landscapes of Dubai, from its undulating dunes to its striking urban skyline.The calligraphic words chosen, "Al Zaman" and "Al Waqt," both meaning "time" in Arabic, are imbued with deep symbolism. They reflect a profound connection between the timepieces and the rich cultural tapestry of the Arabian world. 

These watches are powered by the HUB1110 calibre, based on Sellita SW300. This movement offers 42 hours and operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz). Both timepieces are paired with a Black alligator leather strap, with a black steel deployant buckle.

The CLASSIC FUSION BLACK MAGIC DUBAI WATCH WEEK is priced at CHF 11,300, which is equivalent to AED 45,200, while the CLASSIC FUSION BLACK MAGIC DIAMONDS DUBAI WATCH WEEK is priced at CHF 14,700, which is equivalent to AED 58,800.
