Introducing Hermès unveils the Arceau Robe Léger watch featuring a diamond-set case

Hermès is a renowned French luxury brand founded in 1837, originally specializing in equestrian equipment. Today, we present to you the latest release from this collection, the “Robe Légère” watch.

Henri d’Origny drew inspiration from the elegance and movement of stirrup for this 1978 timepiece. Its 38mm polished white gold case is adorned with 71 brilliant-cut diamonds, meticulously set in the bezel, adding a touch of luxury to its design. The watch is further enhanced by a sapphire crystal that protects both the dial and the case back, ensuring durability and legibility. It features an onion crown, embedded with a diamond, and offers water resistance to 30 meters. This timeless piece combines sophistication with practicality, making it a truly magnificent example of fine watchmaking.

The dial of the watch features a stunning rearing horse, inspired by the "Robe Légère" silk scarf by Théo de Gueltzl. The design is brought to life through the intricate technique of paillonné enamelling, where delicate silver leaf flowers and leaves are applied onto a dark blue enamel base by hand. These silver elements are meticulously inserted and sealed between layers of transparent enamel, which is kiln-fired multiple times to create shimmering depth and a multi-dimensional effect. The result is a captivating, light-catching dial that reflects the elegance and artistry inherent in the Hermès design tradition. The hour and minute hands shimmer in the center of the dial, surrounded on the right by the brand name, "Hermès," beautifully rendered in the same style as the rearing horse, seamlessly blending with the overall design.

The watch is powered by the Hermès H1912, an automatic movement. With 28 jewels and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, the H1912 ensures precise timekeeping while offering a 50 hour power reserve. Its finely decorated bridges and rotor are adorned with distinctive 'H' motifs, showcasing Hermès' dedication to both technical mastery and refined design. It comes with a matt abysse blue Hermès alligator strap, and it's a limited edition of 24 pieces.
