Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

The first titanium case in the collection, reinterpreting the brand’s heritage with a contemporary twist
Hanhart presents the 417 in Grade 5 titanium for the first time with the new 417 TI Desert Pilot Limited Edition, replacing the classic stainless steel traditionally denoted by the designation “ES.” The matte finish of the case underscores its instrumental character, lending the chronograph a modern, technically driven aesthetic.
Available in 39 mm and 42 mm, each limited to 200 pieces, this model merges historic pilot DNA with contemporary material technology and uncompromising mechanics. Crafted from Grade 5 titanium with a matte finish, the case retains the familiar thickness of 13.60 mm across both versions.
The inspiration behind the 417 TI Desert Pilot Limited Edition is rooted not only in the history of the classic 417 ES, but also in one of the most distinctive watches in the modern collection: the PRIMUS Desert Pilot. This robust chronograph was conceived as a contemporary interpretation of legendary pilot’s watches, combining traditional Hanhart design codes with an independent, sporty aesthetic. Hallmark elements include the sand-colored dial, the matte sandblasted case, and the coarsely woven textile strap, details that place the desert at the heart of the concept, both thematically and functionally.
The PRIMUS Desert Pilot has long established its reputation beyond the product realm. Rally driver Stephan Schott has worn the watch during extreme off-road competitions such as the Dakar Rally and the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.
A defining design feature remains the fluted bezel, which rotates continuously in both directions and incorporates Hanhart’s signature red insert. The chronograph also integrates the brand’s proprietary shock protection system, safeguarding the movement against impacts and ensuring reliability even under dynamic conditions. The highly domed sapphire crystal echoes the classic design language of historic pilot chronographs while offering exceptional resistance to scratches and external influences. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters in accordance with DIN 8310 standards.
The sand-colored dial with black Arabic numerals delivers excellent contrast for optimal legibility. This edition features no date display, preserving its clean, instrument-like character. The Arabic numerals and central hands are coated with black Super-LumiNova X2 C1, ensuring clear visibility in low-light conditions. The 30-minute counter is positioned at 3 o’clock, while the small seconds subdial sits at 9 o’clock.
At its heart beats the hand-wound AMT5100 M movement from Sellita’s Manufacture AMT department, a column-wheel chronograph caliber with a flyback function, small seconds, 30-minute counter, and a 58-hour power reserve. Beating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the movement is shock-resistant and meticulously regulated at the Hanhart manufactory.

Hanhart’s standards for precision are as exceptional as its watches. Each movement is individually tested and adjusted by highly skilled watchmakers in Gütenbach. The brand’s in-house specifications demand an impressive rate accuracy of 0 to +8 seconds per day on average across six positions.
The watch is fitted with a rubber strap featuring a subtle woven texture, ensuring sporty comfort and a striking visual presence. It is secured by a pin buckle crafted from Grade 5 titanium.
Each version of the Hanhart 417 TI Desert Pilot Limited Edition is limited to 200 pieces and is priced at EUR 2,990, equivalent to approximately AED 13,400.
