Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition inspired by the iconic 417 ES, reimagined with a modern touch
Founded in 1882 in Diessenhofen, Switzerland, and now based in Gütenbach, Germany, Hanhart has long been synonymous with precision timing instruments and military chronographs. Known for supplying reliable stopwatches and pilot’s watches since the early 20th century, the brand helped shape aviation timekeeping standards.

Now, Hanhart unveils the Red Lion Mk II in collaboration with Gentry Labs, founded by TGV of The Urban Gentry channel, one of the most influential watch-focused YouTube platforms. Gentry Labs serves as TGV’s professional hub for collaborations and design projects within the watch industry. Limited to 200 pieces, this model revisits the DNA of the iconic 417 ES, the original pilot’s chronograph created for the German Air Force.

The watch is housed in a 39 mm stainless-steel case measuring 13.6 mm in thickness, with a 46 mm lug-to-lug span. It features a mix of satin and polished finishes, while the bidirectional rotating bezel in stainless steel clicks precisely 24 times and serves a dual purpose: measuring elapsed hours and allowing for a simple “GMT-light” reading of a second time zone. A highly domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides ensures clarity from any angle.

On the side, Hanhart’s hallmark red HyCeram pusher stands out. Originally designed to prevent pilots from accidentally resetting the chronograph, the red color has since become an emblem of the brand’s identity. The HyCeram material combines ceramic hardness with polymer resilience, ensuring lasting durability.
The screw-down sapphire caseback reveals the movement within, featuring a discreet Gentry Labs watermark printed on the inside of the crystal. Each caseback is engraved with an individual limitation number, underscoring the watch’s exclusivity. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters in accordance with DIN 8310 standards and is built to withstand shocks and daily wear.
The matte black dial contrasts sharply with white Arabic numerals, luminous hands, and the historic Hanhart logo beneath 12 o’clock. A large 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock dominates the layout, its hand tipped in red and coated with Super-LumiNova C1 X2 for optimal legibility day or night. The hour, minute, and central chronograph seconds hands share the same luminous treatment. Completing the display are a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock and a date window at 6 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the Sellita AMT5100 M hand-wound caliber, developed by Sellita’s Manufacture AMT division and finely regulated at the Hanhart manufactory. The movement runs at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 58-hour power reserve. It features flyback functionality, allowing instant restarting of the chronograph without manual resetting. Each movement is carefully adjusted to perform within 0 to +8 seconds per day.

Two strap options accompany the watch. The first is a black FKM rubber strap, crafted from fluoroelastomer, a material prized in aerospace and automotive industries for its resistance to heat, oils, and chemicals. Soft yet resilient, it guarantees comfort and performance in all conditions. The second option is a stainless-steel bracelet with a folding clasp, giving the piece a more traditional, robust aesthetic. Both versions feature a 20 mm lug width.
The Hanhart Red Lion Mk II is limited to 200 pieces, priced at EUR 2,790 (approximately AED 11,900) on the rubber strap and EUR 2,990 (approximately AED 12,750) on the stainless-steel bracelet.
