Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

A modern reinterpretation of the 1957 icon with a skeletonized automatic heart
The first electric watch was the Hamilton Ventura, which debuted on January 3, 1957, and is regarded as a revolutionary milestone in watchmaking; it was the first mechanical timepiece powered by an electric battery. Also known by its model number, the Hamilton 500, the Ventura marked a major leap from traditional mechanical watches by replacing the mainspring with a battery.
Over the decades, the Ventura became an icon, worn by Elvis Presley and later featured in the Men in Black films, cementing its status as one of the most distinctive watches ever created. In its latest evolution, Hamilton revives this legend with the new Ventura Edge Skeleton.

The watch reinterprets the model’s signature triangular silhouette with sharper lines and a bold, modern attitude. The sculptural stainless-steel case measures 51 x 47.1 mm with a thickness of 13.8 mm. It is available in either brushed stainless steel or black PVD coating, with both versions featuring a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating. The case is water-resistant to 50 meters.
The upper layer of the dial is crafted from skeletonized brass, while the lower layer is made of smoked mineral glass that transitions from deep black to translucent grey. This gradient effect subtly reveals the movement beneath. The skeletonized hands are filled with Super-LumiNova X1 for enhanced legibility.
Powering the watch is the Calibre H-10-S, a skeletonized automatic movement developed by ETA. Operating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz), it delivers an impressive 80-hour power reserve. The Ventura Edge Skeleton is paired with a black rubber strap with a pin buckle and is priced at CHF 1,575 (approximately AED 7,200) for the stainless-steel version and CHF 1,675 (approximately AED 7,650) for the black PVD version.
