A more compact take on the 62GS, inspired by early spring cherry blossoms
Grand Seiko, founded in 1960, is renowned for its precision craftsmanship and distinctive design philosophy. The Heritage Collection 62GS pays tribute to the brand’s first automatic watch from 1967, which introduced a bezel-free construction for enhanced legibility.
Expanding the 62GS lineup, Grand Seiko presents the STGK031 and STGK033, two new 30mm mechanical timepieces inspired by the fleeting beauty of early spring cherry blossoms in northern Japan. Unlike previous ladies' models with cushion-shaped cases, these watches adopt the classic 62GS case design originally seen in men’s models.
Each stainless steel case measures 30mm in diameter and 10.5mm in thickness, featuring Grand Seiko’s signature Zaratsu polishing for a flawless mirror finish. The seamless design integrates curved case sides with a sapphire crystal and a transparent caseback.

The dials reflect Japan’s seasonal transitions with intricate textures and subtle tones. The STGK031 features a pink dial inspired by sakura-kakushi, a phenomenon where cherry blossoms remain hidden beneath an early spring snowfall. Meanwhile, the STGK033 presents a silvery patterned dial, evoking sakura-tsukiyo, the ethereal glow of cherry blossoms under a misty moonlit sky. Both dials retain Grand Seiko’s signature design elements, including sword-shaped hands and multi-faceted indices for exceptional readability, and both also feature a date window at 3 o’clock.

Powering these timepieces is the automatic Caliber 9S27, Grand Seiko’s smallest automatic movement, measuring just 4.49mm in thickness. It operates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a 50-hour power reserve. Each watch is paired with an integrated stainless steel bracelet and joins the permanent collection at a price of $6,400, approximately AED 23,500.
