The history of Grand Seiko is a tale of precision, innovation, and dedication to watchmaking. Founded in 1960, Grand Seiko emerged from the desire to collaborate with leading Japanese artists and cultural icons who are passionate about the brand. These collaborations bring forth creative interpretations of time and nature.

Moreover, Grand Seiko embraces timeless Japanese traditions, craftsmanship, aesthetics, and spirituality in its innovations. The collection finds inspiration in Japanese gardens, temples, or art, reflecting the beauty and harmony of its horology.

Now, Grand Seiko introduces the SBGJ273 Yuka-Momiji Hi-Beat GMT, a watch that merges nature and architecture with its splendid red textured dial, inspired by lacquered wooden floors representing Yuka-Momiji temple. The watch comes in a Zaratsu-polished and brushed 39.5mm stainless steel case, with a thickness of 14.1mm.

The most striking feature of the SBGJ273 is its captivating red dial, reminiscent of lacquered wooden floors, capturing the essence of Japanese autumnal beauty inspired by Yuka Momiji temple. It is accompanied by polished dauphine hands and a gold-colored arrowhead GMT hand, along with a date window at 3 o’clock. The color and texture of the dial are a nod to the changing leaves during the fall season, seamlessly merging nature with horology.

Powering the watch is the automatic in-house caliber 9S86, holding a high-beat rate of ten beats per second. This movement operates at 36,000 vph and holds a power reserve for up to 55 hours, making it a reliable companion for travelers.

The SBGJ273 is worn with a stainless steel bracelet featuring a triple folding clasp and a push-button release. The watch will be available in September 2023, with a price of EUR 7,600, equivalent to AED 30,000.
