Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

A limited edition that pairs Damascus steel with Swedish gold
GoS has always stood apart through its use of a material that few brands have seriously explored. The Swedish independent has spent years shaping Damascus steel into something far more integral to its identity, as we saw with the Fullerö Sword.
That foundation has given GoS a distinctive place within independent watchmaking since its launch in 2007. The brand’s watches are often defined by their strong presence, by the sense that the metal has been worked with real intent, and by the depth of their handcrafted detail. Within the brand’s output, the Winter Nights collection holds particular importance. First introduced in 2013, it showed how GoS could translate its signature material into a complete and highly distinctive watch design.

Now, with the Winter Nights III, the brand returns to that chapter with a more elevated expression. The defining change is the introduction of 18k Swedish gold alongside the dark Damascus steel body, giving the watch greater contrast and a bolder character.

The case measures 41.5 mm in diameter and 12.1 mm in thickness. Its central structure is executed in stainless Damascus steel, while the bezel, lugs, and caseback are made of 18k Swedish gold. That combination gives the watch a very specific presence on the wrist. Around the back, the watch is fitted with a sapphire caseback, matched by a sapphire crystal on the front. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.

The dial is made from hand-forged Damascus steel, giving each piece its own unique surface, and the display is framed by a two-part chapter ring that combines a darker anthracite base with an upper ring in 4N gold. The dial features arrow-shaped hands, while the hour markers are integrated into the chapter ring, with a small seconds display positioned at 6 o’clock.

Power comes from the GoS03 calibre, developed with Swiss independent brand Schwarz Etienne and executed with modifications specific to GoS. It is an automatic movement with a micro-rotor architecture, beating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and delivering a power reserve of 86 hours.

The watch is paired with a grained Nordic moose leather strap, secured by an 18k gold pin buckle. It is limited to 12 pieces and priced at EUR 38,000, approximately AED 160,300.
