A dial forged from the original Viking sword of the Sweden village Fullerö
Born in the heart of Sweden, GoS Watches was founded by master watchmaker Patrik Sjögren. The brand draws inspiration from Scandinavian mythology, metal artistry, and the austere beauty of the North. Over the years, GoS has built its name through creative collaborations with brands like Louis Erard and fashion designer Martin Key.
In its latest release, the brand unveils the Fullerö Sword, a tribute to Viking metallurgy. Named after a village near Uppsala where a remarkably preserved Viking sword was unearthed in the 1960s, this timepiece transforms an archaeological marvel into a wearable piece of history.
The watch is housed in a 41.5mm stainless steel case and measures 11mm thick. It features sloped lugs and a mix of brushed and polished finishes. The bezel, showcasing GoS’s signature braided Viking motif, is inlaid with black enamel. A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement and ensures 50 meters of water resistance.

The Damascus steel dial is forged by Swedish bladesmith Conny Persson. Modeled after the pattern-welded core of the original Fullerö sword, each dial is crafted from modern steel rods containing 17 layers, separated by nickel for added visual depth. Three finishes are available, Midnight Blue, Raw Steel, and Glowing Steel, each offering a unique interpretation of the forged texture.

GoS’s signature spear-shaped hands, plated in polished gold, sweep across a clear sapphire ring that marks the hours and minutes. At night, a hidden luminescent circlet beneath the ring emits a glowing orange halo, evoking the fiery hue of heated steel. This vivid effect is achieved using 3D Lumicast technology, a method of applying luminous material to watch dials using three-dimensional molded ceramic components.
Powering the watch is the La Joux-Perret G101, a Swiss automatic movement tailored to GoS specifications. It operates at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a 68-hour power reserve. Its skeletonized tungsten rotor is decorated with a golden GoS triskele emblem.

The watch comes with a black moose leather strap, offered either plain or embossed with the same braided motif found on the case. The tapered strap is secured with a hand-forged Damascus steel pin buckle. The Fullerö Sword is produced in very limited numbers, only 12 units are expected this year, with future production capped at 18 pieces annually. Each watch is individually engraved with its year and serial number.
The watch is priced at USD 11,500 (approximately AED 42,300) for the Raw Steel dial, and USD 12,500 (approximately AED 46,000) for the Midnight Blue or Glowing Steel dial options.
