Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited release featuring the brand’s first dial crafted entirely from aventurine glass
To celebrate 180 years of Glashütte watchmaking, Glashütte Original unveils a special anniversary edition that unites its traditional craftsmanship with the brilliance of the stars. The PanoMaticLunar Anniversary Edition, with its asymmetrical dial layout, signature Panorama Date, and refined moon phase display, represents the modern face of the manufactory. For the first time, its dial is crafted entirely from sparkling aventurine, known for its deep blue hue and shimmering effect.
Aventurine has its origins in 17th-century Murano glassmaking, where Venetian masters first created this extraordinary material. Its glittering surface lends the PanoMaticLunar’s dial remarkable brilliance and depth—a subtle tribute to the stars that have long guided Glashütte watchmakers in their pursuit of precision.
The watch is housed in a 40 mm platinum case measuring 12.8 mm in height and 47 mm lug-to-lug. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides protects the dial, while a sapphire caseback reveals the finely finished movement. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
The deep-blue aventurine dial captures the glimmer of a starlit night sky. Off-centre, slim white gold hands coated with Super-LumiNova® sweep over matching solid gold indexes. A small seconds display completes the timekeeping functions, while Glashütte Original’s hallmark Panorama Date sits at 4 o’clock, showing two date discs without a separating bar. At 2 o’clock, the moon phase reveals a finely crafted white mother-of-pearl moon set against an aventurine sky that seamlessly merges with the dial.
Inside beats the automatic in-house Calibre 92-14, part of Glashütte Original’s latest generation of mechanical movements. It is equipped with a silicon balance spring, resistant to temperature fluctuations and magnetic fields, and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour for excellent precision. With a power reserve of 100 hours, it offers both reliability and practicality.
The movement’s fine finishing is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, showcasing the traditional Glashütte stripe decoration on the galvanic grey three-quarter plate, along with other refined details. Each watch in this exclusive edition is meticulously assembled, decorated, and regulated by hand in the brand’s own workshops.
