Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons Celebrates Arabic Women’s Legacy with This Special Edition
Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the leading retailer of luxury watches in the UAE, introduces the Girard-Perregaux Laureato 38mm Burgundy UAE Edition. This exclusive collaboration with the Swiss watchmaker celebrates the iconic Laureato design, which dates back to 1975, alongside the timeless cultural heritage of the Arabian Gulf.

This UAE edition marks the second collaboration between Seddiqi and Girard-Perregaux. Following the success of the distinctive 42mm Laureato Chronograph Endless Skyline UAE Edition, a men's timepiece par excellence, this latest edition is designed specifically for women. It features a captivating burgundy dial and a diamond-set bezel, with a color inspired by the traditions of the region.

Drawing inspiration from the UAE's cultural heritage, the Laureato 38mm Burgundy UAE Edition highlights the artistry of Henna, a tradition that, like the Laureato, has endured across generations. For this campaign, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons and Girard-Perregaux partnered with Emirati artist Dr. Azra Khamissa, who created a bespoke Henna design inspired by the Laureato's iconic octagonal bezel.

The Laureato 38mm represents the midsize variant of Girard-Perregaux’s celebrated integrated bracelet model. True to the Laureato’s iconic design, the timepiece seamlessly combines geometric precision with a refined interplay of polished and satin finishes.
Encased in a slim 10.02mm case, the octagonal bezel is adorned with 56 diamonds (∼0.90 ct). The arrangement includes eight sizable stones at each corner and smaller diamonds interspersed between them, creating a stunning play of light across the facets.

The burgundy dial is adorned with a Clous de Paris motif, a traditional pyramid-like pattern that adds depth and texture, delivering a captivating three-dimensional effect. Rhodium-plated baton-style hour and minute hands, along with applied Arabic numerals, further enhance the dial’s sophistication. The hands are coated with luminescent material, emitting a soft white glow in low light.

Featuring a self-winding movement, the Caliber GP03300, this timepiece offers a glimpse of its inner workings through a transparent case-back, showcasing a wealth of intricate details. The main plate is adorned with circular graining, while various components exhibit bevelling, mirror polishing, satin finishing, snailing. The bridges are embellished with straight Côtes de Genève, and the pink gold oscillating weight is adorned with perlage. With a power reserve of at least 46 hours.
Paired with a stainless steel bracelet, this watch is priced at 19,600 CHF which is equivalent to 76,100 AED.
