Introducing Franck Muller Unveils the Vanguard Alquimiamc

Franck Muller unveils the Vanguard Alquimiamc, created in collaboration with Mexican architect and sculptor Marcos Cojab, known as .ALQUIMIAMC. This limited edition celebrates the meeting of two creative worlds, where fine watchmaking and contemporary art converge in a shared expression of innovation and craftsmanship. The exceptional timepiece also marks the inaugural edition of The Art of Time, a cultural initiative developed in partnership with Raconli Group, Franck Muller’s exclusive partner in Mexico.

The iconic Vanguard case, instantly recognizable, is crafted from bronze and hand-brushed to perfection. Chosen for its ability to evolve over time, the bronze material develops a natural patina, ensuring that every piece becomes a truly unique creation. Measuring 41mm in width and 49.95mm in length, the case stands out for its ultra-thin profile of just 9.1mm, enhancing both elegance and comfort on the wrist. It also offers a water resistance of 30 meters.

The case back, made of stainless steel, reveals a second skull engraving bearing the artist’s signature, transforming each timepiece into a collectible that is both a work of art and an instrument of time.

The dial, also made of oxidized bronze, is offered in two variants: one featuring the familiar Vanguard configuration with applied Arabic numerals, and another with a minimalist, numeral-free design. Thanks to the interplay of material and style, both versions stand as striking interpretations that diverge from Franck Muller’s traditional aesthetic codes.

At the center of the dial appears .ALQUIMIAMC’s emblematic skull, a symbol deeply rooted in Mexican culture and reimagined here through the lens of fine watchmaking.

Powering the watch is the FM 708 caliber, a thin automatic movement beating at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz) and offering a 38-hour power reserve. With a diameter of 29.9mm and a thickness of just 3.83mm, this refined mechanism contributes to the case’s remarkably slim silhouette.

Completing the design is an integrated green rubber strap, adding a contemporary touch that complements the watch’s artistic character.

The Vanguard Alquimiamc is limited to just 15 pieces and is exclusively available in Mexico.
