Green Color Sweeps the Overseas Collection from Vacheron Constantin
One of the most beloved timepiece collections, the Overseas series from Vacheron Constantin underwent a reinvention in 2016, following a long history of success dating back to the 1970s. We delved into the fascinating narrative behind this collection, aiming to capture its essence of wanderlust. This global outlook, passed down from François Constantin, has been integral to the Maison's ethos since its inception. Crafted with a blend of casual elegance and comfort, the Overseas collection offers numerous editions, featuring dials in silver, pinkish beige, and the emblematic blue.

Now, at the peak of Watch and Wonders 2024, the Maison has enhanced the adventurous vocation of the Overseas collection. This new hue breaks with the classic color codes of Overseas watches, combining the deep brilliance of pink gold with the intensity of green. These new timepieces bring a fresh aesthetic to Vacheron Constantin's sporty-chic watches.

This fresh introduction of vibrant green dials encompasses various models within the Overseas collection, comprising four distinct references: the 35mm gemset, the 41mm self-winding model with date display, the 42.5mm chronograph, and the 41mm dual time iteration. topped by a circular satin-finished bezel. Continuing the collection's athletic spirit, these new models, equipped with open sapphire crystal casebacks, boast a water resistance of up to 150 meters, facilitated by a screw-down crown.

To accentuate the richness of this new color, meticulous attention has been dedicated to the finishing details, the center showcases sunburst finishing, while the flange receives a delicate velvet finish. Improved legibility is ensured by the contrast between the gold hour-markers and hands, enhanced with Super-LumiNova®, against the dark dial color. Furthermore, featuring a lighter-shaded double minutes track, or a single track on the gemset model, they facilitate precise readings of minutes and seconds. The subdials are also finished with a snail pattern for enhanced clarity.

For each edition, every movement receives its own caliber. The common feature is a soft-iron casing ring that provides anti-magnetic protection for the movements. These timepieces feature various calibers with High Watchmaking finishes, all self-winding, with an 18K pink gold oscillating weight featuring the collection's emblematic compass rose. They are robust, sturdy, and beat at a frequency of 4 Hz 28,800 vibrations per hour.

The four new models come with an integrated rose gold bracelets with polished and vertical satin-brushed links evoking the shape of a Maltese cross, harmoniously match those of the dials. The bracelet can be swapped out tool-free for a calfskin or rubber strap. Featuring the same green colour as the dial, these two wristbands feature a pin buckle that is also interchangeable without tools.
