Introducing ID Genève Unveils the Circular S Eclipse
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
One of the Maison’s key innovations returns in three platinum pieces for Dubai Watch Week
On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of Ahmed Seddiqi, the iconic Middle Eastern retailer of haute horlogerie, Chronométrie Ferdinand Berthoud pays tribute to its longstanding partner with an exclusive platinum series of the Chronomètre FB 3SPC.

To mark Dubai Watch Week (November 19–23, 2025) and celebrate this milestone anniversary, the Maison unveils a limited edition of just three pieces from its acclaimed FB 3SPC collection, distinguished by its cylindrical hairspring. First introduced at the previous edition of Dubai Watch Week in white gold, and winner of the Chronometry Prize at the 2023 GPHG—the model returns now in a rare and prestigious platinum execution.

Case band of the previous edition
Inspired by Decimal Watch No. 26, created in 1793 by Louis Berthoud, nephew and successor of Ferdinand Berthoud—the Chronomètre FB 3SPC continues the legacy of master chronometer-makers. It remains the first and only wristwatch equipped with a variable-inertia balance and cylindrical balance spring to receive official chronometer certification from the COSC.

The white gold edition
The case, now crafted in platinum, retains its signature rounded silhouette with screwed lugs and a caseband porthole, offering a lateral view of the contracting and expanding hairspring. It measures 42.3 mm in diameter and 9.43 mm in height. Both sapphire crystals, dial side and back, feature anti-reflective coating and are slightly domed. Signature elements include the oversized crown for optimal handling and the distinctive porthole at 9 o’clock, revealing the beating cylindrical hairspring. The crown and screws are executed in white gold.
The caseback is enhanced with an exclusive sandblasted decoration: the “75” anniversary logo created by Ahmed Seddiqi, engraved on the sapphire crystal.

On the dial side, six nickel-silver bridges create a beautifully structured layout. At 9 o’clock, generous space is dedicated to the regulating organ—balance wheel, pallet lever, escape wheel—and their stepped bridges. The barrel, placed at 12 o’clock, sits beneath an arched bridge. The lower portion hosts the seconds display, while hours and minutes are shown on the peripheral chapter ring. At 2 o’clock, the power-reserve indicator is engraved in a sector graduated in 12-hour segments from “0” to “1.” The left side is dedicated to the regulator, with the balance and escapement aligned beneath individual bridges.
This special edition features a peripheral inner-bezel ring in velvet-finished black lacquered brass, with engraved minute track and Arabic numerals accented in gold. The bridges and mainplate, crafted from nickel silver, are sandblasted in a new golden hue, offering subtle contrast and excellent legibility with the 18-carat yellow gold hands.

Inside, the hand-wound FB-SPC caliber, made entirely in-house, beats at 3 Hz (21,600 vph) and delivers a 72-hour power reserve. Although manually wound, it is equipped with a slip-spring to prevent overwinding. Unlike the earlier black-finished version, this Seddiqi-exclusive edition features gold-toned movement components: sandblasted nickel-silver plates, gilded gear trains, and straight-grained natural nickel-silver bridges for the regulating organ.
The Ferdinand Berthoud Chronomètre FB 3SPC.3-4 Platinum Seddiqi Edition is paired with an alligator leather strap, available in various sizes and colors upon request, secured by an 18 mm platinum pin buckle. Strictly limited to only three pieces, this edition is exclusively available through Ahmed Seddiqi.
