Marking the Brand’s Anniversary and Debuting at INHORGENTA Munich
Fears introduces the Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour ‘Celestial’, a limited edition inspired by the night sky and unveiled during a landmark year for the British watchmaker. The release marks 180 years since the company’s founding and ten years since its modern revival. Limited to 75 pieces, the ‘Celestial’ brings a poetic astronomical theme to Fears’ distinctive jump hour complication. The watch makes its debut at INHORGENTA Munich, reflecting the brand’s continued expansion within the European retail landscape.
The Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour ‘Celestial’ retains the refined proportions and elegant character of previous editions. The 40.5mm cushion-shaped stainless steel case is fully polished and fitted with a screw-down solid case back. A hallmark of the Brunswick collection remains the ‘onion’ crown.
The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal treated with ARdur anti-reflective coating on both sides to ensure optimal legibility. Each piece is individually numbered, with its serial engraved between the lugs at 12 o’clock.
At the heart of the ‘Celestial’ lies a carefully composed dual-material dial designed to evoke a full moon suspended within a clear night sky. The outer ring is crafted from aventurine glass, selected for its deep blue translucency and the presence of fine metallic inclusions that create a subtle, star-like shimmer as the light shifts. At the centre, a disc of high-grade white mother-of-pearl introduces contrast and depth, its natural opalescence and organic variations forming the visual interpretation of the moon.
Time is displayed via a jump-hour aperture at 12 o’clock. The hour disc features bespoke Breguet-style numerals developed in-house by Fears’ horological designer, Lee Yuen-Rapati. Characterised by softly curved forms, open counters, and restrained flourishes, this typography makes its debut on a modern Fears timepiece with the ‘Celestial’.
Encircling the dial is a silver-printed minute track subtly infused with metallic particles and arranged in a radial configuration reminiscent of celestial mapping. This structure enhances legibility while reinforcing the astronomical theme. A single rhodium-plated minute hand, finished with alternating polished and brushed surfaces, moves across the dial with controlled contrast against both the aventurine outer ring and the mother-of-pearl centre.

The “Fears England” signature is positioned in the lower half of the dial — a deliberate adjustment that preserves visual balance while accommodating the jump-hour display.

Powering the watch is the Swiss-made Sellita SW200 automatic movement, regulated to chronometer-grade accuracy and paired with the JJ01 jumping-hour module developed in collaboration with British watchmaker Christopher Ward, ensuring precise and reliable performance. The movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 38 hours.

The watch is paired with a Fears Blue Barenia leather strap featuring folded edges and additional padding tailored to the Jump Hour case. The strap is lined with Fears Blue Alcantara for enhanced comfort and secured by a bespoke Fears Cypher pin buckle. It is also available on a five-link bracelet in 316L stainless steel with alternating polished and brushed finishes. The bracelet includes removable full and half links, a butterfly clasp with push-button release, and quick-release spring bars for added versatility.
The Fears Brunswick 40.5 Jump Hour ‘Celestial’ is limited to 75 pieces and priced at GBP 4,350 (approximately AED 21,850) on the leather strap and GBP 4,550 (approximately AED 22,860) on the stainless steel bracelet.
