A Design That Embodies Classical Elegance and Honors the Maison’s Heritage
The name Edouard Koehn dates back to 1891, when the master watchmaker, once a partner and one of the key figures behind the growth of Patek Philippe & Co. left the company to establish his own atelier in Geneva. His independent venture quickly became known for its refined chronometers and intricate complications, laying the foundation for a legacy of technical excellence.
In 2020, that legacy was revived under the leadership of Bernard F. Fleury, a seasoned veteran of the Swiss watch industry. Today, the reborn Edouard Koehn brand continues to honour its heritage with exceptional timepieces crafted in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
The latest creation from the maison expands the Legacy collection with a new self-winding chronograph featuring a moonphase display, available in two variations. Drawing inspiration from the brand’s historical pocket watches — particularly a yellow gold model from circa 1900 with perpetual calendar, moon phases, and lunar calendar — the Legacy Moonphase Chronograph captures both the elegance of the past and the refinement of modern haute horlogerie.
Housed in a 40 mm 316L stainless steel case, the watch measures 14.10 mm in height including its dual domed “glass-box” sapphire crystals with anti-reflective coating, or 12.90 mm without them. The design features two rectangular pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock to operate the chronograph, complemented by an onion-shaped crown, a signature element of the Legacy line. The case ensures water resistance up to 50 meters.

The dial is offered in two color options — Dune and Blue — each defined by the classic aesthetic of the Legacy collection. Applied Breguet numerals and leaf-shaped hands enhance its timeless charm, while the vertical satin-brushed finish in icy blue or sandy tones adds a subtle modern flair.
The central chronograph seconds hand, finished in red or blue depending on the version, is activated by the pusher at 2 o’clock and reset via the pusher at 4 o’clock. The instantaneous 30-minute counter sits at 3 o’clock, balanced by the running seconds at 9 o’clock, while the moonphase and date display are elegantly integrated at 6 o’clock.
The moonphase complication tracks the principal phases of Earth’s satellite — a cycle lasting 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes, and 2.9 seconds — a poetic reminder of how lunar observation once defined the very concept of time.
At its heart, the watch is powered by a self-winding mechanical chronograph movement developed in collaboration with Manufacture Concepto, a renowned specialist in high-end calibres also known for supplying movements to Jacob & Co. Operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour), the movement allows for precise readings on the outer minute track, which is divided into four segments per second.
The movement is composed of 262 components and is equipped with a chronometer-grade regulating organ, ensuring exceptional timekeeping precision and high reliability. It offers a power reserve of 60 hours, delivering high-precision performance and outstanding dependability.

Completing the look is a Louisiana alligator leather strap, available in various colors and secured with a stainless steel folding clasp, with a pin buckle offered as an alternative.
The Edouard Koehn Legacy Moonphase Chronograph is limited to 50 pieces per dial color, each individually numbered on the case back. The watch is priced at CHF 8,900, equivalent to approximately AED 41,000.
