The Swiss brand’s new take on the sports watch in four elegant colors
At Waqt, we’re always on the lookout for watch brands that stand out, and today, we’re turning the spotlight on DWISS for the very first time. This independent Swiss brand caught our attention with its bold, modern design language. Founded in 2011 by Brazilian designer Rafael Simoes Miranda, and boasting over two dozen international design awards, it’s clear this is a brand that puts design at the forefront.
To mark its 14th anniversary, DWISS has launched the Model A1. This watch features a 40mm case crafted from 316L stainless steel and measures 10.8mm thick for a comfortable fit on the wrist. Its angular octagonal shape and chamfered edges give it a sharp, architectural look. A sapphire crystal protects the dial, while a screw-down crown ensures durability. Flip the watch over, and you’ll find a sapphire exhibition caseback showcasing the movement within. The case offers 100 meters of water resistance.

The dial is available in four tapisserie options, black, blue, green, and white. The indices and hands are made from solid blocks of Super-LumiNova C1 X1 BL, known to be up to four times brighter than standard lume. Even the date window at 3 o’clock is luminous, ensuring full legibility in the dark.

Inside, the watch is powered by the La Joux-Perret G100 Soigné, a Swiss automatic movement with a 68-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). It’s finely decorated with Côtes de Genève, perlage, and blued screws, and is regulated to +/- 7 seconds per day.
The Model A1 comes fitted with an integrated three-link bracelet secured by a butterfly clasp. It is a limited edition of 500 individually numbered pieces, but there’s also something extra special: a unique “Ghost” edition, featuring an all-white dial, white lume, and white hands. This one-off version (serial no. 001) will be auctioned during a 24-hour event on the DWISS website. The watch is priced at $1,600, which is approximately AED 5,900.
